The staff are extremely helpful and very welcoming. On multiple visits there has been no push to sell, just advice and knowledge on all the items they have available.The shop is an Aladdin’s cave of art, well worth a visit.

I went here today to have a painting professionally scanned and some prints made. This was the 3rd place I had been to following unsuccessful attempts elsewhere. John Mitchell went above and beyond to get the prints as close as he could to the original where other places had just said they could not do it. (lots of tricky colours!) So I recommend this service if you need it.Lots of nice paintings, prints and cards for sale too of many various animals including dogs, horses and birds.We also visited the museum of the horse upstairs. An amazing collection of horse memorabilia with lots of info and interesting objects. We were also privileged to meet Sally Mitchell who has collected all the items over the years. An amazing feat!They also cut mounts and picture frames on site too, but I did not use this service, only chatted to the man doing it!Thank you to all concerned.

I have bought several Mick Cawston limited edition prints from Sally Mitchell over the years and they have always arrived quickly and in perfect condition through the post. Last year I was fortunate enough to be the highest bid in an online auction for a Mick Cawston original of a deerhound. Travelled down from the north of Scotland to collect the framed work so was able to look around the gallery. Definitely a place that could do serious damage to the bank account. Obviously the place to track down anything by Mick Cawston.

Lovely museum with a curator who has a wealth of knowledge

A very nice gallery in the old town of Tuxford, especially for anyone interested in portraits of animals, dogs in particular.

A great range prints & cards. Reassuring to see 'traditional country sports' depicted (before this way of life is eradicated completely by certain groups). Thank you for the super service and top notch cards
