Sunday 2nd July 23, 09.30 am, called in for papers & milk. The forecourt and area at front of shop was a mess with litter strewn everywhere. Not a very good impression.

Just wanted to compliment your staff who look after me every weekend, when we are filling up the Motorhome with petrol & goodies. It is just like dealing with real, live, responsive people who couldn't be more helpful. So well done Spar staff, you deserve credit for your customer service , and in particular Christine. Good range of product, good shelf life, lacking in availability but beyond control due to Easter rush, till queues moved quickly due to self service tills. Young girl called me to her till, I put my basket on the wrong side of her till, she asked me to move it as it was sitting in a patch of wetness that hadn’t been cleaned. When I moved it to the correct side of her she had no bother setting my product in it while I packed it into my bag. No sign of her keeping her workstation clean.

I use this store quite a lot and always find it very clean, great staff and you find everything you need and good quality but today I was helped by the most helpful charming ypung man on the butchers counter. He went out of his way to make me something that was not on the shelves. I hope he is kept on he's a star.

Staff not very customer focused, some ignore you, can't crack a smile. Need to sort out the positioning/queue guidance for the self serve tills. You can approach them from several aisles then have to walk through a queue of other customers standing in front of the manned tills who then give you dirty looks for, in their eyes, bunking the queue to the self serve tills. Sort it out.

I asked for a product and the member of staff took me straight to the item most helpful. Also the the young man on the til was helpful and wished me a lovely day. That was so pleasant of him.

Went into day 16/12/23 8.10pm and as I walked up to the till a young man just walked off from the till telling me to go to a young girl serving when he could have easily served me. By that time hearing what he said a couple who hadn’t been in the queue walked beside her till. To be fair they said you go first you were first but when I tried to get served the young girl started arguing they were first. I just dumped my shopping and left. If your servers are that incompetent and completely disinterested why should I shop here. A joke store with some good servers but mainly awful ones!

Plenty of produce available, with locally made tray bakes & cakes. There's also a very good local butcher, located on the right when you enter the store.

The nearest shop to my house. I would usually shop here when need to get something quickly. Also I top up my SSE card here. Very convenient. I don't drive,but if you do, gas station is right there.
