Mike is not only an incredibly talented photographer, he is also a joy to work with.I took a short course with Mike and I've also watched him at work. His course was clear and really improved my confidence - I have officially stopped using the AUTO setting on my camera, and I am actually getting decent photos!! It's a miracle.I can't recommend his courses or his work enough.

I have completed a Fundamentals of Photography course with Mike. Not only is Mike a true gentleman he is also a gifted photographer and great teacher.Mike was able to explain the process of photography to me in a way that made perfect sense. From the mechanics of taking a photograph to the creativity of composing a picture, Mike has a wealth of knowledge to share. He also has the patience of a saint and is happy to explain something until he is absolutely sure it is properly understood.I have finished this course a much improved photographer and would recommend it to anyone serious about taking their photography to the next level.

Mike is an outstanding teacher. He has so much experience, knowledge and patience that the practice of photography on location or in a studio becomes crystal clear with him. His approach is extremely pragmatic. Moreover, beyond the theory, you learn directly the functions to use on your own camera. Not to mention the fact that Mike is a very kind man. He has helped me get back into the swing of photography and rekindle my passion for the art. I would recommend Mike's classes to anyone, regardless of their level, or using his services as a photographer.

Mike is a great photography teacher. His lessons are really informative and practical and he is very supportive in helping you to get to know your camera and build confidence with the photographs you you capture.

I recently took Mike's fundamentals of photography course and it was really excellent. Mike has a lot of knowledge and experience and is able to communicate it well. His structured course demystifies photography covering all aspects of camera equipment, the use of your camera in manual mode as well as creating well composed photographs. Since taking the course I have been regularly photographing and getting vastly improved images. Highly recommended.

Having recently completed the Fundamentals of Photography course, I feel comfortable in thoroughly recommending Mike as a photographer and tutor.His teaching method is well thought out, organised and makes good use of both theory and practical exercises simultaneously. His patience and ability to explain the idiosyncrasies of photography has helped me get a good grasp on the art, even as a complete beginner. I can now approach taking photographs with a professional-style camera systematically and get really satisfying results by myself, since we learnt about composition and artistic decisions as well as the technical knowledge.Very enjoyable and eye opening. It's opened up a whole new hobby!I look forward to attending his Impact of Light course in the near future.
