The Lodge Café
Avoid this place. I had to use the toilet. The woman behind the desk (I presume the manager due her behaviour) told me I cannot use the toilet without consuming it. I thought it was very reasonable so I was thinking to buy something. So I asked her where the toilets were just to know she wasn't faking me before to pay. She told me in an aggressive tune that she cannot tell me where the toilets were until I bought something. I paid almost 2 pounds for a small bottle of water. When I went to the toilet I found out that it was dirty and disgusting. The floor looks horrible and any of the toilets fill up with toilet paper. There were 2 girls waiting on the line behind me that you made to buy something for the same reason and they were shutting the same thing as me shameful toilet service. You cannot push the people to buy something and after serving a shameful service.

I recently visited this coffee shop after work and was surprised to see that four ice lattes cost us a whopping £18.While waiting for our order, a tourist kindly asked the waitress for an empty cappuccino cup with a lid. To our disappointment, the waitress was extremely rude and denied his request outright. Later, I noticed the same tourist outside with his kids and took it upon myself to ask for a cappuccino cap with a lid. However, the waitress demanded a fee of 50p for it and only accepted cash, without providing me a receipt.Despite being a beautiful location in Hyde Park, the rude behavior of the waitress left me wondering whether people in the service industry ought to display more humanity during their interactions.

This place obviously relies on a constant foot flow of new customers to survive, because if it had to rely on customers returning they would go bust. I don't know if the guy serving was the owner or if he just worked there, but he REALLY does not want to be there. Rude, brash and an air of arrogance thrown in for free. I would rather walk another 5 minutes into the Park and drink straight from the Serpentine than give this place my business a second time. Avoid!

VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE EVERYTIME I GO HERE!!!!!I work right across from this lodge and grab a meal from here often. I must say it's one thing to have bad service on a once off occasion. But it's apparent that the employees of this cafe are just rude and do everything with such a bad attitude. Everytime I buy something or ask information I am being responded to with such disrespect. It's so disappointing considering it's one of the only options in the area to actually get food, the employees treat customers as if they have been forced to work there and are always just so miserable! Something as simple as a request to remove the avocado whilst toasting the sandwhich, it's a no! Great customer service is about doing what you can to satisfy the guests, and if that means removing the avocado then what's the problem??? It's not going in your mouth?? Wow. Management really should look at training their employees a little more to offer better service I am sure you will see a spike in the revenue once atleast one employee has a smile on their face when serving customers.VERY POOR SERVICE

The Lodge Café
Coffee and hot chocolate were disgusting, both tasted like dirty water. No indoor seating in terrible heavy rain and windy weather because the staff didn't want to clean up. Made customers sit outside in the garden.

Nicely seated after a walk in Hyde Park. I like places like this. very good coffee and quality food. Staff a bit rushed. I paid for a large coffee but got a small one. That can happen, but... I could have a smoke here in peace.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Lodge Cafe, located just outside Hyde Park Corner Tube station in London, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm welcome and the staff's friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. The service at The Lodge Cafe was truly amazing. The staff members went above and beyond to ensure that every customer was attended to with care and efficiency. Their attentiveness and willingness to accommodate specific requests made the dining experience even more enjoyable.Speaking of the food, I was blown away by the quality and taste of the cuisine. It was evident that everything was prepared with great skill and attention to detail. The fact that all the dishes, including the breads and fresh juices, were cooked in-house speaks volumes about the dedication and passion of the chefs. I highly recommend trying their Hot Chocolate, as well as their delectable Pizzas. Both were absolutely mouthwatering and left me craving for more.Beyond the scrumptious meals, The Lodge Cafe offers a small bar area where one can relax and unwind with friends. The selection of lagers and cocktails was impressive, and the bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. It was the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy a drink, and engage in lively conversations.I cannot praise the owners of The Lodge Cafe enough. Their warm and welcoming nature adds an extra layer of charm to the place. They genuinely care about their customers and take the time to engage in conversations, making you feel like part of their extended family. Their presence adds a personal touch and creates a welcoming ambiance that is hard to find elsewhere. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Lodge Cafe to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience near Hyde Park. The combination of amazing service, mouthwatering food, and a cozy bar atmosphere make it a truly memorable destination. Whether you're a local or a visitor to London, this charming cafe is a must-visit.
