Brilliant sausage rolls and cakes to take away with honesty box for payment

The tastiest food on the Isle of Harris!!Without Katag's Kitchen our holiday just wouldn't have been the same. Although there are other very good home cooked places to visit on the isle, Katag's Kitchen is on another level and super friendly. This little gem of a find literally sustained us throughout our two week visit. The variety on offer tempted us back each day and to be honest the regular items such as beef and black pudding sausage rolls and venison pies were so tasty we'd sometimes arrive mid-morning for brunch. The soups are amazing, I so wish I knew the secret recipes and if you get the opportunity to try the Mutton and Yellow Lentil you will be left salivating along with the more traditional treats such as Scotch Broth. We very much look forward to returning next year along with our two dogs who were big fans of mopping up the delicious flaky pastry that would accidentally fall to the floor ;-). Thank you to Katag's for satisfying our greedy bellies and setting us up for our daily adventures on the isle and saving me time cooking on an evening with your delicious meals too.

Well. This place is an absolute must if you are in the area, it's an honesty box shed with some of the most amazing home bakes I have ever tried. The beef and black pudding sausage rolls were simply delicious. The soups and ready meals looked really good too. The brownies and kemon drizzle vake were top notch also. Cannot recommend this place high enough.

What a find! Beautiful home cooking and baking. We were staying just over the hill at Borrisdale and only found it on the last day of our stay. Wish we'd found it earlier - so good. Excellent food and well priced. Go visit.

Eine tolle Idee, hier kann man sich leckere Kuchen und warme Speisen mitnehmen. Wir haben den Cottage Pie probiert und fanden ihn sehr lecker! Und es kam sofort ein süßes Lamm zum kuscheln an.

So much choice and everything we tried was delicious, especially the black pudding sausage rolls and gooey triple choc brownies, and it was lovely to be able to get some homemade oat cakes to go with our cheese. The soup and cheese scones looked great too. Card payment option is very handy
