Mark Midwinter Drums

My son has been taking drum lessons with Mark for a couple of years now, he has a really friendly and professional attitude. Through great teaching and coaching my son is now on grade 5 and really enjoys his lessons with Mark.Thanks Mark.

Mark is an excellent drum teacher and my son has made huge amounts of progress since he started having lessons with him. Mark really pays attention to the technique and styling of each song he is learning, meaning that he has developed into a confident, technically assured and versatile drummer. Highly recommend him as a drum teacher.

My son has been having lessons with Mark for approximately three years. During which Mark has offered lessons in person in his studio and online sessions.My son always looks forward to his lessons with Mark. When I asked him why he likes his lessons he said Mark explains everything really well and gives great feedback. He also gives fun tracks to learn.After each session Mark provides session notes to help students practice during the week. This has helped my son progress through three grade exams, getting great scores and feedback.Communication from Mark regarding lessons/bookings is always timely and helpful. I would highly recommend him for your drum lessons!

I sent a message on Instagram and he needs to redirect it to his email. I followed up by sending another email to Mark, asking for a quote for my son's drum lesson. Unfortunately, Mark may be extremely busy as he hasn't provided any response, even after I sent a follow-up email to remind him.

I have only had a few lessons with Mark so far but I have come away from every lesson knowing that I have learnt something new. He is a very patient and has been helping me build my confidence even when I am struggling! I would highly recommend Mark as a drum teacher.

It's almost three years since my son is taking lessons from Mark. He explains the notations and theory very well, prepares you for grade exams (if wanted). Would highly recommend him.

Mark is a brilliant teacher. My 11 year old son has been having lessons with Mark for over 3 years and enjoys every lesson. His attention to detail and weekly communication via email about progress is excellent.

I asked Mark some time ago if he was able to give my daughter drum lessons. My daughter loves music and is on the Autistic Spectrum. She had a trial session which she really enjoyed and Mark has gone on from there. He is very patient and very able to help my daughter. Mark will take you through a learning experience from raw beginner to advanced level no matter what age or ability. He is a well established tutor with a wealth of knowledge. He will guide you through the rudiments of sight reading and how to set up your drum kit correctly. He is methodical in his approach and possesses a measure of patience which is really beneficial. he is honest in his teaching and is frank when giving advice.Mark employs a course for beginners that includes backing tracks and accompanied with a CD. However, he is flexible in his approach and can adjust to whatever your preferences are . He has a fully equipped studio and caters for left or right handed drummers.Once you have gained experience , he will take you through the essentials of the music grading system via Trinity Rock and Pop school.I have just taken a grading with Trinity and passed with a distinction. This is all thanks to Mark.Ed.

My son has been having drum lessons with Mark since the beginning of 2020 and he absolutely loves it. Mark is incredibly patient and really motivates him to try his best and improve. They have developed a great bond and although many of the lessons had to be on Skype over lockdown, the quality and professionalism that Mark showed was exemplary. It was great to keep the lessons going during this time when so much was stopped.
