The new room is a nice quite place to have lunch. Being a solo traveller I find the staff are so friendly and have a good laugh which makes for a warm and welcoming visit. The food is amazing. I recommend the specials.

My friend a I visited this cafe recently and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. We were recommended the homemade soups by a very knowledgable staff member, I believe called Bidsobsky. The food and drinks were both wonderful and the entire experience a pleasure, I will certainly be returning.

After eating in town on lunch for the past 2 years I feel I've finally found the perfect place. The food is always amazing (soup is the best in town), cakes are handmade and delicious. Coffee is fresh and hot. The staff are some of the welcoming and warm people I've met. Nothing is ever a problem and when quiet they are more than happy to have a chat.A hidden gem that needs to be visited ❤

Came in just for a quick lunch, stayed for a dessert as We could not resist their home-made cakes. Very friendly staff and excellent service. They also told us about museum upstairs, unfortunatly we didn’t have time that day.Clean, friendly and beautiful place with home-made cakes, excellent service and the best bacon sarnie ever. See you next week :)

I was pleased to find this pleasant cafe in the New Room, added since my last visit a few years ago. I had coffee, nice latte. A shop there too with Wesley and Bristol memorabilia. Bought postcard. An oasis in the middle of busy Broadmead and an interesting old chapel to explore.

Dirty glasses, dirty and chipped saucer and milk cup. Staff had ran out of filtered coffee dispite there appearing to be filters and coffee available. The tea cake was burnt. We complained about the tea cake and the replacement tea cake also came burnt. I can not believe the previous reviews raving about this place. Please don't come here thinking it's nice.
