Beautiful church

This is my local church, the 10 30 am mass on Sunday with the youth choir is nice.

If you're a Roman Catholic and you practise your faith then you go to mass every Sunday. Many years ago, this was a relatively simple thing as there were many priests. However, recent scandals involving abuse of young boys, has resulted in many priests being jailed and many others running away before they were charged. This has meant that there are not as many priests to say mass on a Sunday. In turn, this means that most churches have one mass and it's usually about 10.30am. But not the Good Shepherd. There mass is at 9.00am which is great if you're up early but not if you've slept in. But St. Malachys up the road has one at 11.30am and one at 5.00pm if you've really slept in.

Lovely church with good pastoral care from the priests and parish office.There are four Masses every Sunday, 9am, 10.30am (Children's Liturgy), 12 noon and 1.15pm. The last one is really good for people like me who like a late morning on Sunday ;-) The new Parish Centre provides tea after the 10am Mass on Tuesday morning, a great time to meet other parishioners. It has a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere.The parish is part of the Ballynafeigh Clergy Fellowship which is great for meeting with other church goers in the local area.

Able to properly mourn the passing of a very good friend. Socially distanced but not oppressive

I was there for my daughters school carol service. I'm not really a church person, but I do appreciate the stained glass & sculptures & other architectural elements.

Was at a funeral there and it was such a lovely service. Impressed
