Just there for Sunday Roast. Food excellent. Service likewise. Very quiet though. Hope it survives...Update.Met here with friends for pre-Christmas lunch. Food and service excellent once again.Future of place still not certain however. Please support this lovely pub.

Yes a nice place to eat. The food is very good and you get quiet a big portion. The atmosphere is warm and cosy but some of the dining chairs have seen better days. Some are quite grubby and stained and need replacing and the carpet is a little sticky in places. That said it's a nice place for a get together and has a good selection of beers.

Very handy place to stay when visiting family in Boxworth. However if you realise before you book there is nothing near it. We were not made to feel welcome as they had a private function on. It was only when I made them aware we had a room booked that they let us in to get some drinks. We had travelled for 4 hours to get there and no food was made available and with there being nothing nearby it was lucky we were going to a family bbq nearby. The surroundings of this hotel are lovely and the rooms need updating but are clean and comfy.

Had a wonderful experience staying at the Hotel. The breakfast was superb (didn't have lunch or dinner as out all day/evening). Room was lovely. It was comfortable, clean and the hotel was situated in a beautiful village. I have booked a weekend for next year already. Thankyou for your great hospitality.

This is a beautiful venue where we have lunched many times. Parking is easy and the gardens are delightful. One can eat inside or out. My lunch today was especially good (sea bass with lemon potatoes), and the staff were charming. I like the fact there was no piped music - just sunshine, fresh air and easy conversation.

We visited yesterday with some friends we had staying. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Not amazing but good solid pub food. Sensibly priced, good service and a good selection on drinks. Will be back.

Really nice gem in the countryside. We just went for food and drinks. The staff was super friendly. Inside is pretty rustic and cozy and the garden is great too and the pub is dog friendly so we got to take the dog which was a nice bonus. The food was really good and I definitely want to go back.

Wonderful staff, friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious , well presented and good value. All in all a fabulous weekend stay. Completely recommend

Wonderful meal with very attentive staff. The homemade Thai fishcakes were delicious and our steaks cooked to perfection! Will definitely return soon.
