Motel One Edinburgh Princes
Really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent location and super friendly staff.Our room had heating which was good as it was cold in Edinburgh. I liked our little tea and coffee station. I slept really well and our bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom was spotless and shower powerful.We had breakfast in the hotel twice (£12.50 each) and it was like a cold continental breakfast - breads, pastries, meats, cheeses (even vegan cheese), cereals, lots of different hot drinks and juices. I don't eat dairy and there was lots I could have.Our room was freshened daily which was lovely. We arrived an hour before check in to leave our bags but was lucky and our room was ready. The staff were really helpful.We stopped in the bar one evening to play games and have a drink. Cosy atmosphere and plenty of seating.Overall, a great stay.

The air conditioner in the room wasn't working very well, our room was too warm. Apart from that the staff is very gently, the hotel location is perfect you don't have to worry about going to the best part of the city from there. The breakfast is good for the price, and it all ended up being a pleasant experience because of the view from the dining room.

Motel One Edinburgh Princes
I really enjoyed the two nights I stayed in the Motel One on Princes Street. The room had a king bed and I had enough space for me to do yoga in the morning. I paid for a city view, well worth it! It's close enough to everything you could want to see and the proximity to Waverly station (across the street) can't be beat. My only complaint is that there is nothing on the walls in the room which makes it feel a bit industrial. All around a great stay, would highly recommend.

This hotel is in an excellent location!! Right across the street from the Waverly train station, so if you arrive by train, you can easily walk to it. It is walkable to most of the major sites in Edinburgh. The views from the lobby and our room were great! The rooms are not big, but they are just what you need.

Location was the only good thing about the hotel. Everything else, just terrible.I’ve been a loyal client of this chain of hotels for years, all around Europe, but our last stay in Edinburgh was such a disappointment….We booked our stay well in advance, and to my surprise, got the WORST room of the entire hotel (room 200, AVOID): smaller than any other one in our floor, right next to the elevator(imagine the noise…) plus quite cold (had to ask for an electric radiator…). This will be our last stay ever in any Motel One, you just lost a client.

A very good 3.5 star hotel in the heart of Edinburgh New Town, adjacent tram, bus and train stops. Very quiet. Modern rooms, with all facilities. Within walking distance to numerous pubs, cafes and restaurants, and only a 15 min walk to Old Edinburgh's Royal Mile attractions.

Worse experience in a motel one so far. Definitely not up to the topical standards of the brand. The room had this filthy feeling, the carpet was stained and not properly cleaned, the bedsheets had also some disgusting stains and the room was extremely noisy, I could hear everything that was going in almost the whole floor. I normally procure motel ones but I'm starting to look for other options.

The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to assist, also reply very fastThe hotel is situated near the centre.We stayed at a double bed room, all was well. The beds are comfortable. Everything is nice and clean.They serve breakfast, it is delicious and various. They have gluten free and dairy free options
