Made a last minute booking through OpenTable app. Friendly and attentive staff made us feel very welcome for Sunday lunch. My partner had Sea Bass, I had roast beef, and we both had Sticky Toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert. Delicious food and one of the best pub lunches I've ever had. Hope to visit again soon.

Great pub, not too big so has a really great atmosphere. We went mid-week so we one of about 3 tables. The food came promptly and everyones meals were fantastic. I had the cajun spiced chicken burger - gorgeous! My friends ordered kebabs and thai curry, all really good.

The Sunday menu was small but perfectly formed. The food was well presented and cooked well. The staff were very helpful and had definitely been well trained in customer service. The only downside to the Pledwick Inn is the amount of noise in the dining area. This is my third visit and the noise in the dining area is a huge minus to my dining experience. It is so bad I couldn't hear my partner who was sat opposite me. I hope the owners can look into some way to minimise it.

Looking for somewhere to take a visiting friend for dinner I chose The Pledwick as it was highly recommended. Maybe we were unlucky and picked an off day. I had already checked out the menu and was really looking forward to the hanging kebab. My friend also chose this and we had duck gyoza and belly pork for starters. I say for starters, we were actually advised that it would come out at the same time as the main course, why? We were advised this was because they were tapas, the menu states tapas, small plates and starters, starters to me are served before mains. Anyway the starters were tasty. We then moved on to the kebab which had been sitting getting cold at the table. The rice was bland, not sure it had seen any salt, the pitta bread was thin, tasteless and you couldn't open it to fill it so ended up wrapping the meat in it. Chicken was tasty but the chorizo was overcooked, dry and also came in the inedible casing! The skin on fries were pasty looking and not very crispy, could have benefitted from a couple more minutes cooking. Overall a very disappointing meal, service was good and the pub itself was done nicely however this would not be enough to make me return.

Me and my family visited this pub the other week and it was my first time but it won't be the last, excellent food, top service from the lads who were on, quite possibly the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had!! (Ever...)

Sorry, tried the place twice. First a few months ago and had to wait over an hour for 2 pizzas as you couldn't order off the normal menu in the back garden. 2nd time this weekend ordered 2 sandwiches one advertised as on sourdough. Both came on ciabbata, I saw mine again soon after we left. Shame as could be a cracking spot.

Great pub for the summer months. Has a massive beer garden with loads of room for the kids to play. An excellent terrace that you can sit and enjoy a decent pub grub meal. Good beers on tap, lots of friendly staff and handy for a walk around the dam if you are so inclined.Only issue we’ve found is that food service is pretty sporadic. We go here a fair bit and every time we come there’s a different set of rules in place. This time we went on a Sunday and they stopped serving food at 16:00, so we had to go elsewhere for food.Last time we went they had vegan pizzas on the menu and when we tried to order them we were told they didn’t have any vegan cheese and rarely did, order a pizza without cheese and it came out with cheese on and they still charged me for it because I hadn’t specified that all the cheese should be left out. Other times they’ve been great dealing with allergy requests, being really helpful and the chef coming to talk about the specific requirements to ensure they got it right. Just a flip of a coin which Pledwick is doing the food when you go.

Cosy and welcoming, staff were super friendly. Food was nice for a gastro pub, portions for burger was generous as it came with a whole host of extras, the risotto was well cooked and nicely balanced. However, some items of note for the 4 stars... This is not an accessible friendly pub. Quite a few awkward steps inside the establishment, uneven and sloping floor (to the extent our table was defiantly not level...), initial scan implied toilets were down stairs (however didn't really explore if there was an accessible toilet on the ground floor). Did expect for a gastro pub to ask how rare diners would like their beef patty (it was super tasty) so it came pinker than desired for the other half. Would be go back? Yes, but one that we would come rushing back to due to the accessibility, so if this isn't an issue for you? Definitely recommended!

Really nice burger and hanging chicken kebab! Thanks. We decided to pop along and give it a try after the amazing fireworks from a few weeks ago. Glad we did.

Went recently on a Sunday before a bank holiday for a few beers with friends & it was good. They have a nice outdoor setting where we spent most of our time, with friendly bar staff on hand. Worth a visit.
