Lydiard Park
Beautiful place and free the enter the grounds, only £6 to go into the house. There's not many rooms to look at but that's reflected in the price (I won't share those pictures #spoiler). Cafe, and tea rooms are well stocked. Nice option for short walks, huge park for the kids too. The field have BBQ pit set up ready to use.. We drove into a small housing and turned around because we thought we had gone wrong, but we hadn't, trust the sat nav!

Lovely place for young families with excellent play area and lovely walks. The beautifully decorated Georgian rooms in the house are well worth a visit with excellent audio descriptions available. Good food in the cafe - what more do you want?

Beautiful place, lots of walks in the grounds. We were lucky to stay when Pimms in the Park was on but it's such a lovely place to visit and plenty to see without anything else. We had a warm welcome from the hotel staff and the room was clean and cosy with a beautiful courtyard garden view. We stayed for an evening meal and the food was outstanding. We had the onglet steak and it was cooked to perfection. 5*. Breakfast consisted of good quality fresh produce, plenty of choice and again, very nice friendly service.

A historical park good for walking and biking. Parked the car (pay by phone app). Immediately saw green field. Then walked to St Mary’s Church. Another building of 1100 years history. We were very lucky to have a guided tour into the church as we accidentally met the leader of conservation project at the church entrance. He was so kind to explain the fascinating history of the church.

I’ve just got back from a lovely day out here with a group of friends. I highly recommend it. We went to see the house- small but fascinating , with recordings of information in each room. Then walked around the grounds that had some magnificent trees and views. Then a delicious and excellent value lunch at the stables coffee shop, all made and served by hard working and charming staff. Then we toured the church and had an informed volunteer point out things of interest, I was particularly impressed by the 15(?)c wall paintings. Finally and spectacularly a stroll around the walled garden that I have to say is almost perfect, such beautiful blooms. We all loved it, and would recommend the place to anyone wanting a genteel day out at a hidden treasure
