Grand Ceilidh Club

I have been going to this club for 22 years. And my father has been going since its inception. I learnt to folk dance at the club. The club now meets at the Royal Naval Association Southend. The club always has a live band and caller. Something which puts it ahead of many other ceilidh clubs locally. The callers are really good at explaining exactly what to do when, so no prior experience is necessary. The bands are pretty good too, all local Essex folk. The club dances all traditional folk dances from jigs and hornpipes to the occasional line dance. I cannot recommend this club highly enough.

Been going here for a year and everyone is so friendly and inviting. Good fun!
