Woodborough Hall

Went for afternoon tea here today with my Mum at 12:30 and it was brilliant. Beautiful setting, love that they prepare the tea in the same room. Staff attentive, professional and friendly. The food was fantastic and I loved that they did differen't breads for the savoury section. It was really tasty. Everywhere was clean and modern and well run and I loved everything even down to the clear glass teacups. Will recommend to others.

We held my eldest daughter's baby shower afternoon tea party at Woodborough Hall on Sunday 17/9/23.From start to finish it was a truly lovely experience.The elegant Hall,grounds and the rooms allocated to our party were just perfect .The helpful attentive staff working at Reception and the lovely waitress allocated to serving at our party are all a great credit to the business.Nothing was too much trouble for them.The reception staff stayed beyond the end of their shift as we had to wait for my daughter to return from Nottingham station,having taken a friend to catch her train!The afternoon teas provided were beautifully presented,very tasty and included a bottomless teapot " menu of different flavoured teas to try.A simple but clever touch which added to the enjoyment of the afternoon tea party experience.Thank you all at Woodborough Hall for making it such a memorable afternoon! I am sure we will be visiting again."

I was really looking forward to coming here for the festive set menu as heard really good things about the afternoon tea. Unfortunately the food was mediocre, but it was the service that let the night down. We were 1 of only 2 tables in there but were essentially ignored for most of the night. Long gaps between courses even though we had to preorder. When we eventually managed to ask for the bill, it was left on the table for ages and we had to ask if we could pay. 3 hours which is unnecessarily long. Unfortunately won’t be back after this experience.

Visited today with my mum for a quick lunch. The staff were so attentive and the orangery is such a nice place to sit. I think the low rating came from the previous owners as now it’s definitely a 5* venue! Very well priced too.

Went for afternoon tea. We were seated in the orangery which was beautiful. Unlimited different teas to choose from or coffee. Afternoon tea was of a great standard, 4 different fillings on 4 different sorts of bread. Soup was very tasty. A choice of fruit and plain scones and 4 different mini cakes.Would definitely recommend.Our waiter was excellent, great service.

Having booked our wedding lunch celebration earlier this year the whole process was made easy with excellent communication. On the day the whole team at Woodborough were fantastic, unobtrusive but always on hand when required, and paid attention to detail making sure we and our guests had a perfect afternoon. The Orangery is a lovely room for any event and the hall is set in beautiful gardens.

Murder mystery evening was excellent, the 1920's theme was maintained throughout.Good menu well presented food.Beautifully refurbished hospitality areas.Non-resident but would not hesitate to stay here.

Highly recommended Woodbrough hall. The staff are amazing, the Hall and grounds are beautiful, the food is exceptional and the bedrooms are gorgeous. We recently had our wedding reception at Woodborough Hall, we knew I would be good, but they exceeded our expectations. The staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. There was so much high-quality food (we chose serving platters) the room was decorated beautifully. Even guests commented on how they met their needs, such as making sure allergies were well catered for.Overall, if you are thinking of here for a wedding, meal, or overnight stay, I wouldn't suggest looking anywhere else.

The other night we attended the Murder Mystery evening and it was so much fun. The food was incredible, all the staff were so attentive and professional and the entertainment was just amazing. We hope they host another one as we will be booking on to it as soon as we can!
