Best Western Lord Haldon Country Hotel
Hotel was an absolute nightmare to find, we got the hang of coming out, but each time trying to get back was a nightmare. Room was lovely, Gardens were lovely, however some areas of the hotel looked tired and in need of a revamp, damp patches etc, courtyard from dining room looked tatty could have done with some colour, so much potential to have it looking fab. Staff not overly friendly. Main objection was to paying £20 per dog, I get they need to clean the room, think that's a bit steep, maybe if they had given them a cooked breakfast fair enough.

Best Western Lord Haldon Country Hotel
This is a lovely out of the way hotel all staff very friendly and professional. The two of us had an evening meal and drinks that was well needed especially after a long stressful drive from Clacton-on-Sea. Relaxing and nice atmosphere. Will certainly return again well done.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem! From the moment you begin your drive, you'll feel like you're in a world of your own. But upon arrival, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views and ample parking. What's even better is that this hotel is pet-friendly, making it the perfect choice for animal lovers like myself. Overall, I absolutely love staying here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming experience.

Best Western Lord Haldon Country Hotel
This is a good 3 star hotel & competitively priced. Breakfast was very good & our room was spacious with a good sized flat screen TV & excellent reception. Staff were very friendly & there is plenty of free parking. To avoid the very narrow single lane that leads directly from the A38 (high hedges, single width & few passing places which in winter can make it impassable) then take the road in through the village of IDE which is a much better road especially at night. It is so much easier & more open. Wonderfully quiet at night. I would use this hotel again for its location, the friendly staff, quiet nights & decent rooms.

Best Western Lord Haldon Country Hotel
Great hotel. I Stayed there for two nights and loved it. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing and my girlfriend said it was the best scrambled egg she had ever had, she's 53 and a trained chef so that's saying something. The evening meal we had was also amazing. The rooms were very clean and the room we stayed in had an extra large bed so we both had a good night's sleep. The location of the hotel is also amazing with lovely views.We will definitely be staying here again soon. Well done Best Western Lord Haldon hotel and keep up the good work.

Best Western Lord Haldon Country Hotel
Although quite difficult to find on some narrow lanes, the Hotel is worth the journey. Only stayed for a single night but the room was spacious with a large shower room. Dinner was chosen from a decent menu and enjoyed by us all, Breakfast was continental and English, well cooked and still hot. Superb views and peaceful location

Great service. It was very quiet room was good. Perhaps water pressure was a bit low in the shower. Food was good and staff very friendly

Best Western Lord Haldon Country Hotel
Beautiful country side location. Food was delicious and the staff extremely courteous and attentive. Room size good too. Local roads are very narrow so driving around is interesting. I have been there few time and every stay has been pleasant.

Terrible road in so small, only room for 1 car. Room not clean. Food good for the price. Staff attentive and friendly.
