Had high expectations based on reviews but felt disappointed in our experience.There were service issues - we had to wait for someone to greet us and had to wait a long time for our food order to be taken, the table next to us arrived at the same time as us and received their starter when our food order was taken. I think we were forgotten. The drinks waitress seemed a bit grumpy and abrupt initially when she took our order and a second round of drinks took a long time to arrive.The food was fine but the portions were small and I left hungry despite having 3 courses. I saw some plates of the fish and chips for other tables and they looked huge but my braised beef main was not value for money.Puddings were the highlight of the meal.

Fantastic food and experience. Excellent views of the castle and surrounding areas. Booked a table for 8 people and were promptly seated after arriving. Had an unusual prawns and seafood on crumpet starter that was exceptional. Burger for main followed by tiramisu which were both tremendous. This would be a fantastic place for new years eve to watch the castle fireworks.

Well, I never thought we'd have an amazing dining experience, with great service at a Scottish Premier League grandstand restaurant and not on a match day! It's no surprise this place is highly rated. The food was perfectly cooked and presented by a team of chefs on view in the open kitchen who clearly know their stuff. The table staff are equally professional, with plenty of attentive, yet discreet service. In my photos are starters of gin marinated trout, goats cheese rolls with sharing dips, and pork belly mains, roasted perfectly with crispy crushed fennel seed top, plack pudding bonbon and a jus as good as you'll find (or hope to create at home!). Enjoy this unique experience....if only my home team of HTAFC and plenty of other clubs could seize such an obvious opportunity, be it match day or not.

We had a beautiful meal here for our sons birthday. Food was superb and the service was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very fortunately, I’d found this restaurant from the Google Maps. Although I’ve passed this restaurant by BuS in four years, I couldn’t find out it. This time was very lucky to find it. So, I booked our lunch in there and took my wife. We had a very good time and good foods in there. And all staff were very good. Am very much looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!
