I visited the restaurant during a recent visit from Yorkshire to catch up with a friend who lives locally. We only had a pizza and beer, the pizza was outstanding, I asked for a firm base and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. The décor is wonderful, high ceilings with perfect lighting; the service was excellent, a friendly and professional waiter was looking after us.Highly recommended.

A fantastic place to stop for a meal. Simple, unpretentious food cooked to an exceptional quality with a real focus on how to incorporate local produce. Service was impeccable and manager Marcos made our anniversary extra special. I went back the next day for a coffee and Marcos welcomed me back in as though I was a regular. Well worth a visit here.

The Chapel atmosphere feels like a contemporary galaxy, brimming with comfort. On this sunny day, the view through its window is sheer artistry. Additionally, highly recommend the local bread which is filled with the fresh aroma of wheat, unmatched by any bread in the city.

Upon arrival we witnessed the manager verbally dressing down a waitress in a public area of the restaurant which surprised us and seemed inappropriate, this should have been in private. We were told there were no tables available but were invited to sit in the bar area on the armchairs. We ordered food and drinks but one of the drinks didn't arrive so we had to remind them and then the waitress entered it on the tablet as an additional drink and then we had to correct her as we hadn't yet had the first. Both pizzas were delivered with pizza cutters but no knife, fork or serviette. These items had to be requested. The pizzas were very nice and toppings generous and of good quality. The Chapel environment is light, bright and airy and has the feel of a modern art gallery. Other than the building structure, it's a blank canvas. Whilst eating in the bar area, staff seemed to loiter next to our table, which was a bit off-putting. We understand they may have been reading the room from a handy vantage point, but it's a little discomfiting when eating a meal. When asking for the bill, it was duly brought over and then forgotten about for a while, and we had to chase payment. It is good, a nice venue, the food was nice and if you're in Bruton or in the area it's worth seeking out. There are other fish dishes and chicken, salad etc but we didn't try these.

Excellent fresh pizza dough! I’ve recently moved to the area and had tried some of the Chapel’s pizza, so I inquired about fresh dough. I was hosting some friends and wanted a pain free option for meat-eaters and veggies! The dough was excellent and went down very well with everyone, so much so that I ordered some more for hosting my parents the following weekend! It tastes amazing and cooks so well in my fan oven! Can’t wait for another excuse to order again. Also, always an excellent meal in house - I had an amazing plate of pumpkin tortellini last week!

We spent a lovely night there as the first night of our 5th anniversary weekend. The room was great and we were lucky enough to stay in the room with the stained glass window.

Lunch on Tuesday with friends - pre booked as noted it gets busy and it was. Pizza really tasty and thin crust / no burnt bits! Friend had trout small plate which whilst small was also delicious. They went out of their way to get the recipe for us for the sauce and printed out for us. Good atmosphere, friendly team, art gallery vibe . Definitely worth a visit
