The Residence Collection

The door on the left was supposed to be identical in outward appearance, yet it has a hideous metal strip. On top of that they're aggressively arguing that I should have spotted something in the contract. Rarely do you get such a poor product or get treated so badly. This is one of the worst firms I have ever dealt with.

Easily the best UPVC profile company. There aren't many bad ones at all these days but The Residence Collection is just in a league of it's own. The only timber alternative worth thinking about. I love mine and so does everyone else who knocks and asks for information on them!

We read reviews which said that damaged glass could not be replaced due to the glass being bonded to the frame. So when I asked the company on social media, I must have hit a nerve because they blocked my questions & deleted all the evidence. Very strange behaviour indeed. They clearly don't want it out there in the public domain. Customers beware. Anyway, they have lost a massive order as we are taking our cash elsewhere! If this is how they treat their customers BEFORE they get your money, then what faith can anyone have in their after sales care & investment in the company?

As a property developer I fit a lot different makes and models of upvc and wooden windows. As this was for my own new build I wanted something that looked like wood but in a upvc. Being in the industry I had heard about Residence windows and after research I quickly realised that these would be perfect.We chose the R7 flush sash in painswick grey.As soon as they arrived I fitted them and was relatively happy with them. They needed tweaking a little as there are no adjustments on the hinges (the opening lights had dropped 3mm on each frame, which don’t sound a lot but being a flush sash you can see it.) I got around this by repacking the glass. The main issue however was when I needed an extra 2.5m of flat board in the painswick colour to cover my arches over the windows. Put my order in to my supplier and he replied with Residence windows won’t sell us 2.5m we have to buy a 10m pack. When I contacted Residence windows all I got was very poor customer service, they just didn’t want to know, kept telling me that they dont deal with the public and only deal with suppliers. so I now have to buy £100 pack just for one length, great thanks Residence Windows.I feel like I’ve been let down by Residence windows having just spent £9500 with them.

I have been totally and thoroughly underwhelmed by this product. I’ve spent £40,000 on windows and doors and I’ve had the manufacturers out to investigate. Whilst there were issues with the manufacturing the truth is that these look plastic, join like plastic and do not look like wood.The chamfered edges do not suit plastic fitting together snugly. I look at them and whilst the manufacturers and installers have done their best they are just disappointing and do not do what they say on the tin.In my other property I had mechanically jointed Veka windows installed in the Painswick Grey and they are beautiful and significantly cheaper. They look like wood and do not have the detailed chamfer, rather the traditional wood fitting and look superior. I’m gutted that I went all pretentious and tried R9.I’ve sent an email to R9 via their enquiries page and received no response at all to my complaint. This was over a month ago.

Very happy with our Residence windows.

Lovely product looks good and creates a realistic wood effect however the after service had been horrendous. The windows appear to have not been checked properly. We have had 2 windows barely open properly. One that has never opened. Eventually a rep for the company came to site. In my opinion disinterested. Agreed the windows were at fault and sent an engineer who although sorted some issues and said he would be back with the correct parts within a few weeks. Since then I have heard nothing. I have spoken to my sopplier many times and still 12 months on I still have 2 windows that don't open. Once they have the money they don't seem to care. Very disappointed with what otherwise is a nice product
