Why do I get the feeling that all they care about is a pay check?!

Beyond awful. I wish I could give them Zero stars.I know not everyone has the option, however if you can get private care then do that. Don’t engage with this ‘service’ unless you absolutely have to.It took almost a year and a half for them to offer any real help. Only to then withdraw the offer in account of the fact that my drinking was too out of control and that I had been hiding that from my wife. I had always given them accurate information. And they told me it would be confidential. These issues we not present a year and a half ago! So why could I not have had help then?!They actually advised me to drink everyday! In fact they insisted on it, as a condition of getting help.So they actually made my drinking problem worse. The staff seem to lack even basic knowledge about alcohol addiction. I have personally witnessed false information being given to clients during meetings. My ‘key worker’ didn’t even know who I was when I attended one meeting. This was after meeting her twice in person before.I wish I had never come under their ‘care’.Hang your heads in shame.

Had a home detox which was fine. Support afterwards non existent. As a 56 year old female in a group of about 6, 30 something males, in a mindfulness" group I felt uncomfortable. When I pointed this out to the support worker. He said that's all there is so I may as well discharge you from the service. That was that. No follow up

Husband has been with turning point for about two years. He has had detox in hospital with problems. more than once, detox in residential rehab, where other patients was getting all sorts of illicit drugs from outside and bringing in. Personal Iteams was stolen. Was left unconscious by staff. It had taken myself the wife to call numerous times to turning point and the rehab to get my husband into hospital as he had pulmonary embolism and sepsis, plus a temperature 39.5.c at which point no action was going on to do anything. He had to wait for a cab. No emergency services were given. These people are supposed to provide 24hr health care. This precludes him to a simple community detox as they state this is to risky. Yet they jeopardize their patients with the easiest of tasks. Still needs help detoxing, and needs the right help with after care straight after detox. As promised. He has served his country. What does it take for his country to get him the right help.

I have been working closely with this service for many years and sadly I have nothing good to say about the organisation. they don't support any of there clients what so ever its easy to say that a lack of communication was the main issues service users face ,for any one wishing to get treatment it can take from 4-6weeks for your initial assessment which in most cases is way too long by which time the client is quite likely to suffer from an overdose or to be engaging in criminal activity check the other reviews and you will in fact see the same problems persisting lack of appointments and lack of a full time prescribing doctor!

Very handy place if you want to get a free script so you don't have to spend money on getting some dark and can spend it all on white. But if you really need help I just wouldn't bother as I don't really think they give a damn.First of all the wait at the start for the first appointment can be rather long.4 weeks for me. So after getting to the point of really needing some help and contacting them. It's basically OK mate
