im amazed at the high reviews constantly placed. A reality check has to be made. stayed here yesterday(28 may). Arrived and was told you can have dinner at anytime until 20 hrs ).. didnt bother to tell me it would be better to book a table. went for meal

We had dinner here 2 nights and breakfast. Elizabeth and Chris provide over the top service even though we were non residents. We appreciated the professional, efficient and thoughtful service in making for a very delightful and memorable experience.

Quiet little house hotel. Rooms were clean and comfy enough. Bathrooms were a touch crowded. Nothing fancy, but great spot to stay if you are passing through.

My husband and I spent two nights in this most amazing property. From the minute we walked in to the time we left, we were treaty like royalty. The room was spotless with everything we needed. The dinner and breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Robert and Peter were outstanding hosts and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a peaceful relaxing break. Thank you both for being so amazing.

Great hotel! Very pleased with he standard of room, was very quiet too! The restaurant was also great and had a delicious meal and breakfast. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, would stay again.

A lovely meal out. Staff were very friendly, food was very tasty, and all reasonably priced. Can't ask for more from a hotel in a small village. We would happily return to sample some more items from the menu. It is also dog friendly in the bar area.

This review is in regards to the restaurant. We were staying at the hotel next door, but booked dinner at the McInnes House. The atmosphere is lovely and the dining room is quite comfortable. The chef went out of his way to prepare a special meal for me when I voiced my concern about an allergy to peppers and paprika. That tells me that the restaurant cooks everything fresh and on the spot, and does not rely on pre-made ingredients.The meal was delicious!

Food and drink is highly overpriced, for the price I was expecting home cooked fresh produce however my chicken curry had rubber chicken, a wrap posing as a chapati mango chutney out of a jar all for £19! Building is lovely but it needs some tlc as does the service, we were brought the bill without asking for it! Rude and won't be back.

We stayed in a nearby b&b and came here a couple of times for dinner. It has a nice bar area where we enjoyed pre dinner drinks. The staff were lovely, and we had tasty meals. The chicken burger was fantastic, with a very crispy coating.
