Blake's convenience store

A very friendly shop, with a post office counter. A wide selection of food, snacks and drinks available and they cater for dietary requirements. Staff are always ready to assist, if you need any help and welcome you with a smile. Definitely recommend this shop if wanting some high quality food or snacks.

Couldn't say it better then the last!Reliable and helpful in their weird way but very very rude! They will ignore you in front of them at the counter to watch the TV behind you. They will also come back with sarcastic one liners when you ask a basic question. If I can help it I walk to the other office at 5 ways or down to Lewes road.

New owners are a breath of fresh air. Very personable and happy to support their business. Finally some nice beer in the fridge too.

Unbelievably rude woman that serves you eventually when she's not talking to her husband in her mother tongue. Everything is a task for her, so unfriendly. Husband who works the shop till is a bit friendlier but needs to teach his wife some customer service skills...

Definitely won't be getting a parcel delivered here. Unfriendly, unhelpful and rude, all in a quiet way. However, I did receive my parcel no problem.

This is the best convenience store that I've ever lived by, the people who work there are really great. One time I asked if they were going to stock jalapeño cheese again or if it was there and I'd missed it, because I mistakenly remembered buying it there before. (It was actually Mulberrys across the road that I'd bought it from and they've stopped selling it). He said they don't sell it but can order some in, which isn't something I would ever have expected a shop to do for me! A few days later the cheese was there in the cheese fridge and I bought it. :)It also has a post-office section which is much better than any other places that I've gone into as other ones often shut their post-office area at midday or the very early afternoon.Ps. The shop has just been renovated.

Brilliant shop with brilliant polite members of staff, probably the best staff I've ever met. Had a very nice re-fit which will boost them for the future

Although a small shop it has a really well stocked and varied selection of goods. The icing on the cake are the staff - so friendly & helpful. A1

They don't take royal mail prepaid packages, expect you to re buy them to turn over a profit while being incredibly rude. Took the same package up the road and they accepted it straight away

Worst post office in Brighton. The service is horrendous, extremely slow, the customer assistants" are always extremely rude and this comes from someone who worked in retail for over 8 years in my youth and believe me the standards of customer service have slipped terribly especially in Brighton. Don't expect to spend less than 30 mins in there even just to purchase something never mind actually do any post. During the winter and due to the energy crisis. They refused to cash energy vouchers I was awarded by the council twice until I mentioned they would be reported then all of a sudden they could cash it and put the money on my electricity meter. The woman in there for some reason feels very threatened by me and always makes an appearance whenever I enter the store from the flat upstairs to just watch
