Great shop has lots of different games from warhammer, to board games to card games like Magic The Gathering. They do games nights regularly for a small fee and pre release tournaments. Staff are friendly and knowledable plus it stays open late so plenty of chance after work to pop in.

Oh, such a good store with a lot of things to offer. I got overwhelmed. Also a big play area in the basement where you can rent a board game and play or just bring your cards and stuff. Prices can be little high, but I advise everyone to support local game stores.

You can chill downstairs and play a load of games for a decent price. (Like a try before you buy but without any obligation to actually buy anything) They have a fantastic selection to choose from and if you buy anything after you get your money back for the session. They had a sale table and we ended up buying 3 new games for our own collection. Also the amount of accessories for boardgames is great especially DND minis. They also have a cafe but only open at specific times, so if you want food it's gotta be an evening sesh.

Me and my mate went to try our hand at 10th edition, the staff were very friendly, they set up a table for us and gave us a box of terrain so we could set up and then left us to it, had the table for a few hours and it was very nice to see so many other games being played and enjoyed.

Good game store to play and purchase games, they refund your play fee (£3 per person) if you purchase something. Discount available if you buy 3+ boardgames. Great selection of new and old boardgames. Magic the gathering and Lorcana sold here, as well as pre-releases. Lots of table space downstairs.

My son loves this shop. Staff is amazing, they treat him as normal client with respect even though he's only 12. Dog friendly place too! Definitely worth a visit!

Honestly, I was quite surprised by the unpleasantness of my last trip. We're not local and wanted to pay a visit whilst we were in town for a convention. For some unknown reason, the lady behind the till was just very cold. Although we had barely any words exchanged whilst we made our purchase, she seemed very angry with us for some unknown reason. I can't even explain with words just how uncomfortable it felt. Definitely not welcoming that was for sure. I imagine it wasn't aimed at us but it sure did feel like it was, and she was a bit rough with our products. Felt like walking on egg shells. After that experience, I probably will not be returning personally. Previous ones were good enough, but not this time.

Fan Boy Three is a veritable treasure trove of board games, like stepping into an Aladdin's cave. There is a wide selection of games and games-related items, DnD and Pokémon, Magic the Gathering etc and a playing area downstairs with a vibrant local community. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and Dave (the owner) is a strong advocate for board games and gamers. Prices are usually close to RRP, even where items are scarce and other places raise their prices. The website isn't kept up to date with stock, so best to ring or drop in if you're looking for something, and the times on the website are incorrect (they close at 10pm not 11). However also not mentioned on the website or trumpeted in store is that if you buy 3 games you get 10% off all the games (though not dice etc).
