Been going here for a while I always have the chicken and meat soup sometimes a dinner, the soup is always nicely seasoned plenty of hard food, dumplings and meat. The service is good and Diane always tries her best to serve people to the best of her ability. I have always felt welcomed in the shop it has a nice atmosphere. There are always people from all cultures which is nice to see. If your ever in the area give it a try.

Pink meat, mutton soup has no taste at all. The service from here is terrible, yet put their prices up. This place used to be 10/10

Just finished my mutton and chips dinner and OMG it was soooooooooo good. You know food is good when you could eat it again and again and again and again. Amazing food.28/06/2023 - Update...I notice that you are only serving large or extra large now in the mutton etc. What happened to doing a 'medium' portion. I am very, very disappointed because I have always loved your food but not anymore...Those portions are too much for me. I am gonna have to go elsewhere.

I'm a regular customer at island Bay,I have never been disappointed with the food,its always excellent, the large dinners are delicious and lasts me 2 days,the soup and the fried dumpling is lovely aswell.

1st time I've had jerk chicken so so dry. They had no veg (which makes the meal) of which i wanted extra.Rice ... very dry.I cook chicken all the time at home, this tasted like yesterdays chicken/rice warmed up.They had no chipsVery expensive too... literally threw £10s worth of food in the binStill hungry!I totally understand its hard to keep a food business open, the costs, the long hours etcBut this was really not enjoyable.1st and last time il be ordering from here unfortunately

Waited to collect a meal for approx 30 mins - lady told me she'd be with me shortly with no sign since, several people were served who came after me. Poor customer service as no-one was bothered to come from the back and update me. I have no food to review because I never received any! Wouldn't recommend.
