Muthu Belstead Brook Hotel

Just spoke to Amber on the reception team honestly such a lovely woman I always find customer service quite rushed when I phone up hotels but she was so patient and helped me get my needs to make sure I was satisfied if your going to speak to anyone on reception ask for Amber! This hotel is beautiful me and my partner always book the patio rooms and there outstanding!

Fantastic experience!An amazing hotel with leisure centre, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, a perfect place to relax!The receptionist Rhythm was lovely and she give us an amazing welcome!The room was big and clean.The food in the hotel was great and the serve a great margarita in the bar!We saved in our favorite places list, we'll be back for sure!

We haven't used any rooms in hotel.Our experience is only in swimming pool.The pool is good. I wouldn't say is the best.Needs good cleaning in toilet - shower room.Shower looks bit rusty.Only one thing what we seen about hotel rooms is windows which looks like last time cleaned up 10 year's ago.Hanging bags and socks...

I recently stayed at Muthu Belstead Brook Hotel for a week, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms needed maintenance, and I had to change due to spring-outed beds. The hotel receptionists were commendable, addressing concerns with hospitality and attentiveness.However, the restaurant service and staff were disappointing—rude and ignorant. On a brighter note, the location is fantastic, and I enjoyed the pool and spa facilities. Regrettably, the gym and changing rooms didn't meet the hotel's standard. Despite the drawbacks, my overall stay was pleasant, thanks to the beautiful surroundings and the efforts of the reception team.

We had a lovely evening at the Murder mystery dinner. The food was good and so were the actors. Belstead Brook was a good venue for the event because the decor was in keeping with the 1920's &30's theme, and it is in a good location. We enjoyed ourselves and we would recommend it to others.

A very strange place with some eclectic interior touches. I was on a spa day with a friend, so only really saw the spa area and the general cleanliness was terrible. The floor of the pool area was very grubby as was the communal toilet and there were stray hairs everywhere! Plastic cups for water from a machine located in what looked like a jumble sale area. The two stars are for lunch which was nice and the lady serving us was lovely - the only redeeming feature I'm afraid :(

We spent a whole weekend at this hotel for a Masonic Ladies Festival which we ran for over 70 guests. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. The management are flexible yet professional and able to make decisions without having to pass questions through a corporate structure. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have fantastic bathrooms with walk-in showers. The food during the whole weekend was without doubt, far better than most hotels I have experienced. For Bar Meals, the Fish and Chips are unbeatable. I guarantee it".The quality and service of the food during the banquet was exceptional and the ambiance of the Willow Suite really made the night. Always have a great stay here, rooms cleaned good, stay in the garden patio and room was refurbished lovely, shame about patio as it's lovely but seats are always covered in dry leaves and fag butt's on floor, just needs same attention room gets but don't put me off! Spa area is has excellent jacuzzi so powerful! Gorgeous pool not to cold at all, sauna is great but only small issue is under benches are filthy, but main part of floor is cleaned well! Staff are super friendly and helpful! Food is cooked great, expensive wine but isn't everywhere now! Peaceful getaway, have been a number of times as such decent prices for rooms and facilities! Always get garden patio as not much dearer then rooms in main part! And can park outside rooms! Thank you for a lovely stay again.

Quite good value rooms with easy access to the A14 and A12, so a convenient location for those on business in Ipswich or travelling onwards. Stayed for one night on leisure and utilised the gym (basic and tired, but had all equipment), sauna/steam room and the pool. Didn’t eat there to review. As others have stated, the decor is eclectic… I can’t work out if it screams Rich Asian Tycoon like I’d expect the rest of the chain to be furnished, or trying to be a country retreat..? Everywhere smelled strange - one corridor in particular of musty damp school classrooms - and some facilities were very tired. Lighting in the rooms was terrible. Kettle needed descaling, attention to cleanliness slightly less than I’d come to expect. Bathroom however had been recently renovated and was good. Service from staff was prompt and courteous.

We have stayed previously, but cut short due to a family issue. Had we stayed the full duration we may not have stayed again. We chose a room with a terrace, thinking it might be nice to sit outside in the evening. However the patio chair cushions looked like they had been outside unprotected for years. They were dirty and wet. See picture. First morning my wife discovered a spiders nest with residents and complained. We were moved to the main hotel. The food was overall good, one dish returned due to salad swimming in dressing. The upgraded room was better, but still tired. The pool area was okay, as were the changing rooms, however the gym equipment was old and needs looking at. The whole place could do with some TLC. It has huge grounds and beer gardens, but again, needs some work. I doubt we would return a third time, which is a shame as it could be great.
