Boars Head Boutique Hotel
Absolutely lovely little place. Help yourself breakfast in the well equipped shared kitchen with terrace overlooking the river was a real bonus. Our room was very spacious, very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.

Boars Head Boutique Hotel
A great place at a reasonable price to visit Sunderland. Staff were friendly, location was great and the room comfortable. The place is steeped in history and they provided breakfast options due to COVID restrictions. It would got 5 stars but it’s not boutique. Don’t expect the luxuries, quirkiness or others to relax in that you’d expect of a boutique hotel. That said, for what I paid, it was a great deal and I would stay there again.

Value for money, although I wouldn't describe our room as boutique, it was clean, cosy and comfortable. We didn't pay for the river view, which would have been very nice. The stairs to the first floor were very steep, but as we were told, it is a 300 year old building. I loved the historical newspaper clippings displayed on the walls. Unexpected but welcome was access to a shared kitchen with basic help yourself cereals and bread for toasting. The friendly welcome was very much appreciated. A place to return to for definite!

Boars Head Boutique Hotel
The food in the Italian restaurant was absolutely amazing!! Fab view of the river from the conservatory lit up at night. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a very short taxi ride from the centre or a fifteen minute walk away. Highly recommend.

Had a 1 nite stay here over the weekend the owner is lovely nice views over the river really enjoyed our stay. There's a shared kitchen you can get tea toast and cereals in morning which is nice. Free on site parking.

Stayed hear recently.the photos on booking.com.are not up to date. I am disabled, after a four hour drive.i had to climb a flight of stairs so narrow and steep. I could hardly get my suitcase up there.the rooms are tiny. The shower was also tiny.the smell of old cooking oil on the patio are very off putting.not a nice experience at all.I would not recommend anyone to stay hear.

Boars Head Boutique Hotel
My home away from home. Stylish vintage building. Absolutely love Diana and Tony, the owners and Irene chambermaid. Free DIY breakfast and a cooker at your disposal. Amazing views of the harbour and the 5 star Knowledge Restaurant downstairs (closed on Tuesdays). Highly recommended.
