Very nice food. Very very good service. I was recommended to this gem of a pub. Unbelievable the quality of the food. I got home and realised I was over charged by the pub didn’t realise at the time. But I will pick it up with them when I go back as I will be looking forward to going back. A lovely Sunday experience going here today.

Great little pub/restaurant. Good food and service. Parking a bit tight in the car park and not a lot of street parking. We'll worth a visit despite all that!

Beautiful pub with amazing food, a little expensive but very good quality. Great staff. Hotel rooms are individual chalets in a small orchard in the back. cosy and private and great value at 65. Would stay again for sure. Highly recommended.

Disappointing menu and underwhelming food. We had high expectations from a Michelin starred establishment but the food was very 'pub grub' and overpriced for the quality, which was mediocre. It wasn't all negative, there was a great dog menu and the staff were friendly and helpful but the menu needs a review.

Came here last weekend for food and drinks with a friend after a local bike ride. Really warm welcome and good service from all the staff. The food isn't cheap but you get what you pay for and it's well worth it. Garden is nice too.

Ate Sunday lunch here yesterday. The food was good but a couple of gripes. When we arrived, we were told that we had booked a table on the terrace (which is cold and devoid of atmosphere). The booking system doesn't state that you have essentially booked a table outside at any point. There were quite a few people who turned up and had the same issue. We were able to find a table inside on the 'pub' side which was fine but it would have been very annoying if we hadn't found that table. I think they should update the booking system so you actually know where you have booked and this would avoid any disappointed customers. We ordered 2 roast dinners, 1 arrived 10 mins before the other which was a shame as we essentially ate separately. We asked for the bill twice and in the end we went up to pay at the bar after it didn't come for 10 mins.

Beautiful pub and garden in quintessentially British West Meon.Ate here 6 times over two weeks as working locally and food was mainly great. 7/10Good selection of drinks and loved the squirrels playing cricket above the bar.Staff was always top tier very polite and helpful.

Again, the Google Maps ecosystem shows its limitations, with the categorisation of ratings focused on the rooms not the food. Who would have thought that after 20 years a trillion-dollar-value company like Google wouldn't have been able to get something as simple as this sorted out, eh?This review is about dining at the pub.THe food and service at the Thomas Lord is superb and especially on Sundays when there is a separate brunch menu until 11am. The roast dinners, always with a vagetarian option, are legendary in this area and are always well prepared. It's actually remarkably difficult to get a roast meal done properly in restaurants but the Thomas Lord does it extremely well. They are also flexible, swapping potatoes and Yorkshire pudding for more vegetables for anyone on a keto diet. The garden is dog-friendly and a lovely place to sit out in the sunshine, but they also have a covered garden area for those rare days in England when it's raining. There's a good range of drinks, and a decent variety of no-alcohol beers etc.The service is always refreshingly casual - friendly, welcoming, laughing staff and you get the feeling that staff are happy (not always a given in busy pubs). The area is good for walks with Old Winchester Hill 2.5km up the road and various long-distance paths running nearby. This is one of the Upham Pubs chain but is a real cut above sister pubs like the Navigator and the Waggoners. The Thomas Lord is a star pub in this area. 5 stars for food choice and quality (incl veg), 5 stars for service, 5 stars for friendliness, 5 stars for charm.

It was wonderful stay, we enjoyed a lot our time there. Staff was very polite and helpful. We stayed just for one night but already thinking about coming back. We took a package with breakfast included and on top of that had dinner in there as well, food was lovely. Highly recommend this place
