The White Slice

I love the selection of hot and cold food available. All cooked fresh, sometimes you have to wait a little but its so worth it, the food is always delicious and good sized portions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend you give it a go.

The White Slice has something to offer for everyone (also cater for gluten free) hot and cold foods and drinks breakfasts, lunches and snacks all with fresh produce, local delivery is also available. All the staff there are lovely friendly ladies. Owners Tammie and Emma are great to liaise with as a local supplier/business and neighbours. Would highly recommend x

Good food, cheap enough for decent stuff fast service even when busy with a vast array on offer !

Good sandwiches at a good price. Very generous with the fillings but can be a little slow at times when busy or asking for hot food.

I have been using the white slice since before it became the establishment it is now, in fact since when the original owner/proprietor opened it, some 36, give or take, years ago. I no longer live in East Goscote but when I visit relatives I always go in and pick up various sorts of food. Today, I was totally humiliated by a member of their staff. I went in approx 15 mins before closing time and asked if there was any chance of two cobs to take away, a very lovely lady told me she could only do cold ones, which was fine by me. Whilst she was serving, another employee, who I can only describe as having short spiked hair, a tan, and was of senior years to myself, came and spoke to a younger member of staff who was cleaning out the hot water/soup boilers and asked her, loudly, if I was a man or a woman. I have short hair, and am of a large build, but am very obviously a woman, my anatomy proves that on sight. If I hadn't had already ordered food for my relatives I would have left immediately, however they were relying on me. I have never been so humiliated in my life. Worst of all she sniggered as she said it and when I looked over at her on hearing her rude and somewhat abusive comment, she made a vain attempt to change the subject, badly. Food is good, but staff need sorting. If you want to be humiliated for not fitting a stereotype, then go for it. In the mean time Choo Choos now has my business

Amazing staff/food, prices are excellent. The best cob shop in Leicestershire, definitely returning for more!

Just had a breakfast box as I always do on Fridays ....today was charged 6.50 while normally chargeed 5.70 plus fried bread was missing.Will not be going here again, avoid.
