Absolutely AMAZING- Anise Catering you were simply the best. Everyone commented on the most amazing food they have ever had at a wedding.Liz is a credit to Anise what a hard worker. Liz from the time I contacted Anise to the final hour of our wedding day she was there, huge smile on her face, nothing was too much trouble and herself and team acted in a outstanding Manor. We got married in May at Nettlestead Place. Wedding breakfast was absolutely great. Very hot and food well presented and lots of it. Everyone commented on how lovely it all was. Everything was perfect. Cant fault the wedding breakfast.On a more sour note we had opted for the evening buffet, which came out at 8pm. Our evening guests started arriving around 7.30pm. As we was welcoming our guests we hadn't noticed that the food had been taken away, no more than an hour of being put out.One of my family members had asked a member of Anise Catering, why it was being taken away. And she replied with we have been told to take it away as they were going home".This was not the only member of staff that was asked to leave it

Anise recently catered our wedding and did an absolutely fantastic job. The food was brilliant, everything went really smoothly on the day and everyone from anise was so helpful and friendly. In the run up to the day they were incredibly helpful in getting everything organised and making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend them!

We had a fantastic experience on our wedding day with Anise. They were great in advance of the big day and we did a walkthrough a couple of days in advance and they answered all of our nervous questions. On the big day everything went so smoothly, they helped keep everything on track, were flexible when needed and the food tasted great!!! I've only given 1 star, as it wasn't possible to not select any. Anise Catering were horribly unprofessional to deal with in the lead up to our wedding day - from being shuffled around to a variety of inept staff, to them being unable to keep files accurate enough to know what was actually happening on our wedding day, including the contract that they drafted and had to redraft multiple times because of staff changes within the company and there being no handover. On the day of the wedding, they caused nothing but stress and anxiety. The person we had as a point of contact didn't turn up on the day of, and another unknown person was sent. He wasn't provided with a contract or directions for our day, so constantly bombarded both my husband and myself and our family members for details that were contained within the contract. Guests with allergies to food (which were noted in the contract), were served food containing allergens. I have contacted Anise about our issues many times- via email and registered post and on social media - however, they have not provided a response and cannot be bothered to resolve our issues. This has been referred to Citizens Advice Bureau. After spending £7000 on catering, I would have expected an ounce of customer service. Horrible - do not recommend!

Exceptional.....We got married at high barn in gt bardfieldThe anise team worked so hard throughout the day/night and switch duties whenever needed.As for the food, our guests are still talking about how good it was most saying the best they have ever experience at a wedding.The chef was amazing and a true maestro of his trade.Thanks anise for contributing to the best day of our lives...

If it was possible to leave a minus star review then I would.Thankfully we didn't actually have to use Anise Catering. However, I wish to warn others of the incredibly wrongful business practices we experienced. It was just plain distressing.From the second we left the taster session and handed over a £1,200 deposit they were a NIGHTMARE. Despite promising that they were happy and able to fit comfortably within our wedding budget, they absolutely refused to co-operate with us and in my opinion acted operated at a borderline-criminal level of indecency towards us.The quote was nearly £8,000 (more than double our stated budget) for a standard three course meal. We made it clear that this was unacceptable given what we had discussed. It was from this point onward that they became extremely difficult to deal with. Phone calls and emails were never returned, we were laughed at on the phone (genuinely) by someone giving us the news that our deposit (taken and kept illegally, as far we know) would not be returned. They refused to supply us with canapes as we weren't spending enough, and tried to slap on extra fees that were never discussed.The owner, Mark, himself was non-existent until we threatened legal action. Even then though, argumentative and rude, disgusting 'customer service' from all staff.This took 5 months and caused upset and tears leading up to the big day. Then all of a sudden, after some firm phone calls from us and another important party; our money was returned in full. I would personally advise avoiding this firm altogether, but if you do decide to hand over any cash then good luck!There was no remorse or apologies from any staff members even though they were very aware of the pain and financial worry they caused us.I cannot stress just how real and worrying this actually was: to have a company pretty much say Well

While the food we were offered during our wedding tasting was well made and tasty, Anise Catering are by far one of the least professional and frankly dishonest companies I have ever come across. If it was possible to leave less than 1 star, I would. Their customer service is abysmal and the entire team seems to have no sense of professionalism in communication. Emails would go unanswered for weeks and promised call backs never happened. They had no interest in the type of day we wanted for our wedding and would up-sell at every opportunity (despite serving our wedding breakfast at noon we were told staff needed to stay till 10pm - an hour after the last wedding guest left). To top it off, the company also insisted on charging a service fee for credit card payments, a practice that was made illegal in January of this year! I honestly don’t understand how they still exist and would encourage everyone to save themselves the potential headache and find reputable caterers.

The food was 5 star, Mark and the team were absolutely incredible! For the cost and the quality I wouldn't look anywhere else!! We found that from the initial enquiry, then the tasting, the confirmation process and payments were all made so simple for us by the team in the office, with the front of house staff doing an excellent job looking after our guests on the night.One thing I would also mention, if you're not sure what to have the brownies are to die for!

Fantastic staff, food and service. We went for a tasting session with Liz (event manager) and Neall (chef) and were served absolutely delicious, beautifully presented food. Liz was so helpful and professional and we felt completely confident in her hands. Our wedding day catered for 95 guests and Anise catering and their staff covered everything. We didn't have to worry about a thing on our special day. We are so pleased we used Anise and would most definitely recommend them to others. Thanks again Liz (and your team).Sam and Jen
