Greggs

Staff training on hygiene and food handling required. Observed server rub his eyes repeatedly and face then serve. Wasn’t concerned as usually tongs are used… unfortunately he had to handle my pizza slice to get into box. Flatly denied it when challenged. I suggested he just throw it in the bin as I won’t be eating it. Had paid for it. No refund. Now hungry…. I would invite the management to check the CCTV back. Everything occurred as I described. Such a shame as food is usually good here hence 2*.

The food and drinks are really tasty, and priced at a lower price than other food outlets. The sausage rolls and steak bakes are the signature dishes. Coffee and tea drinks are also very good and competitive on pricing. The staff work fast and hard for a good turnover.

I have been in quite a few times in the past few weeks and months. It's always the same situation: they never open on time, ever at 6 a.m., or if you go in later in the morning, there is always a queue out the door and only one staff member on tills where I count three till screens, not in use. Members always get my order wrong, and when I check the receipt, they either mischarge me or charge for a 5p bag that I never asked for (WHAT A CHEEK) and prioritise C&C orders over walk-ins. Management is below par and lets members of staff get away with murder. I have heard horror stories about this Greggs. I will never come in again or work for a company that takes take. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Cant really go wrong with a Greggs for breakfast!

SHAMBLES…. Always queueingout the door. Counted at-least 4 members of staff and theres never more than one serving.I could understand if the shelves were full and the store was clean but it was neither !.After what felt like an eternity. I was finally confronted by THE most miserable member of staff I’ve ever come across at a Greggs store ,Who couldn’t tell the difference between a latte and the cappuccino I asked for.

Great location. Good space for seating area. Friendly staff who know what they're doing. Good selection of food. Quick service at till. 4.5/5 (rounded up to 5) as queue can get long out the door in the morning so could have an extra till open to deal with that - usually only 5-10 mins to the wait though

Food is standard as every other Greg's, service is slow since they've started selling hot drinks as everyone seems to want them.

Worst customer service I have ever known in a Gregg's. The hobbit-like lady behind the counter absolutely hates humans and has zero skills on how to deal with the people that visit daily and help pay her wages. If there were other options for breakfast that early, I would never use this place again. Horrible woman!

Not worth a single star. I only used that shop just the once and never again. After standing in the queue for what seemed ages, as there was just one person serving, I was horrified to see the person serving, touching the rolls used to make bacon rolls with her bare hands, and then handling cash. What has happened to basic hygiene and use of gloves? Coins that have been in circulation for many many years have millions of bacteria and germs on them, and Greggs obviously thinks it is ok to pass them on to their customers. Remember Covid or food poisoning ?

They never open on time, always after 6am. Other outlets take payment before preparing your order which is quicker and more efficient. Staff very friendly though.
