How do Sainsbury's justify this, a plastic men's comb for £4! Outrageous. Shouldn't you be looking after your customers, not fleecing them. I went to home bargains and got a 2 pack for 49p

Not the shop it was...my local one in Hessle is plagued with horrendous smells, when asked a member of staff what the problem was the reply back was a rude grunt...fruit and vegetables are of poor quality and don't keep fresh beyond a day or 2..although the cost has risen and the quality declined!.. steadily increasing the cost of this sub standard produce seems to be the current business strategy.

First time visit. Won't be back, car park confusing layout, not enough checkout staff, self service difficult.

After 30+ years of using this store, they have ruined the experience. It is a basic human right that I don’t have to give personal details to buy food surely, to exercise that right I now have to pay a premium.I don’t want to be a part of the Nectar programme as it asks for unnecessary personal details such as phone number and date of birth. Because I refuse to give these details I now pay a premium for food that is already expensive. This is a slap in the face for honest consumers who just want to buy food without being profiled. I will not be blackmailed. Just because other stores are doing it, it does not make it right.I will no longer use this store and explore the legalities of it as it feels like discrimination to me.

I shop at the big Sainsbury’s Hessle East Yorkshire most days and like Sainsbury’s and most of the staff are friendly but one. Small build woman in her 60’s I would guess? She is obnoxious and ignores you at the self checkout she screams after you if you are borrowing a basket to take heavy shopping to your car. She stands there tittle tattling to other members of staff about you and had no manners at all. When she gave me some abuse yesterday as I was leaving and I stood up to her, 2 other customers agreed and said she is “horrible” and ignorant. Sainsbury’s please be aware of the way your employee treats customers and take action or you will actually lose customers as she is so rude.

The staff are great and would give 5 stars, plenty of parking, bit expensive, but the real let down is the fruit and vegetables. I can go for a few of these items, they are available, but I come away with none. Poor quality and way past their sell by date, this review is not based on one experience it is over a long period and several visits. Peppers that are so small and often have started to go soft and wrinkly, spring onions that are slimy and fit for the composter. Browning bananas, furry blueberries etc etc, it is an insult to local shoppers that Sainsbury think this is acceptable.
