Nice town with a pretty good market and swimming baths and a library a good selection of shops and places to eat although there is a higher percentage of charity shops than some other towns there is a good variety of high street stores and small independent shops

A clean and tidy station with the ticket office staffed by very helpful and knowledgeable staff. There is also a ticket machine for when the ticket office is unstaffed.

Historical train station left to rot. Built years ago and left to mold over and flake away, the stairs by the bridge on the station side always stink of urine

Regular services to Birmingham and Shrewsbury plus a couple of London direct services operated by Virgin. Booking office open during office hours otherwise ticket machines. Lovely little cafe. Parking if you're lucky to find a space.

The station looks quite nice and it's served by a variety of Virgin Trains, TfW and West Midlands Trains services from here to the likes of Shrewsbury, Birmingham and Wolverhampton. The formation of trains varies throughout the day so it's not uncommon to see overcrowding.Both entrances to the station have step free access however the footbridge linking the platforms isn't step free. There are ticket machines provided, a nearby bus station as well as a free car park on the Birmingham platform.

The best parts about it are the train station out and The Pheasant, where you can get a pint and wait for the next train
