Cheap yes, cheerful no, what an absolute dump, the bed must be 40 year old, covered in stains, no mattress or pillow protectors, pillows are only fit for the bin, feel every spring in the mattress. Bed lights don't work, shower is mouldy, bathroom suite doesn't match, the place is shocking, guests banging and shouting about at 2am, best advice... STAY CLEAR

Had to leave after 2 hours of being there as it was disgusting. Arrowed at 6;30PM, taken up to the room to find it hadn't even been cleaned. Once cleaned it was no better. No light bulb, lamp wasn't working, bathroom door wouldn't shut. Stains up the walls, ceiling stained and paper hanging off, curtains wouldn't fully shut and it smelt really bad. The whole place was dirty and very out dated. I'm glad we drove an hour home rather than stay there. Do not recommend. I understand its cheap and only rated 2 star, but the least we expect with our children is it to be clean. The 'living room' had rubbish in every corner, couch cover all ripped and does not look anything like these pictures. Horrific experience.

I LOVE THIS PLACE !!Bryan and Lisa are an amazing couple. There is nothing that is to much for them. They welcome you with a greeting that is so warm and friendly. The bar is one of the cheapest in Blackpool. The Hotel and rooms are immaculate and are priced at cost that is very affordable. I am certainly going back again at the earliest opportunity.

absolutely amazing, service is amazing, the workers are really nice, rooms are comfortable and really nice lyndsey is amazing and make sure all the rooms are clean as we talk to her 24/7 she’s the best x

Me and my children stayed here for 5 days, we loved it. The owner couldn't be any more helpful and the rooms are clean and tidy. It's not far away from the seafront either, I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be going back

Bryan and Lisa of the Beckwood Hotel are very welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is very clean and homely, we have stayed here on two occasions and have extended our stay on both occasions as they both make us extremely welcome and we are looking forward to our next stay in November. We fully recommend a holiday stay and here.

We stayed for one night as a last minute stay. Very good value for money. Yes the building is a little run down and could do with a revamp to make it more modern but that's usual for Blackpool anyway. We stayed in the family room,, it was small with a double bed and bunk beds but big enough for what we needed. It was clean and comfortable and the hosts were lovely. Bargain price too and it's located within 2 minutes walk of the pleasure Beach so perfect

First night, freezing cold! Spoke to owner who confirmed it had been minus 2!! And he would keep the heating on for the second night. On arrival the room was cold he told me the radiator probably needed bled but didn't do it.Room booked for 4 females, supplied half a roll of toilet roll. Bedsheets on the wrong way, pillows are overused and flat we used the towels to prop our heads up. 3 out of 4 found other places to stay. Shower has no pressure and was already cold we used the water park down the road to get a proper wash.Room was dirty kettle thick with dust and I cleaned the light switches before use.Owner also very nosey. They ask too many personal questions which I find inappropriate and uncomfortable.On our second night we met friends in their bar. They weren't allowed to come to our room despite one of them being the original 4 he didn't know shed left, but was not allowed upstairs. Horrible way to treat paying guests. So when we came down another couple were having a drink and from.the same area as us. While joking around the owners wife piped in I don't find that funny

Yes it may be cheap. But, the beds are a disgrace, could feel every spring. Didn't sleep a wink. You can hardly move in the bathroom/cupboard. Whole room needs a refurb. The best bit is the location right next to the pleasure beach
