After spending 45 years in and out of nhs mental health services and not getting the service I required before being told I'd had the required number of sessions and being discharged I came across Illuminate, I can't emphasise enough the difference. Here is a service that is totally person centred led. Here is a service that is entirely based on your needs,where you are given the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in a calm and safe atmosphere, with a person who is understanding, empathic and has an enormous amount of knowledge to support you in feeling well again. Meeting Kirsty from Illuminate has changed my life, I now have the ability,knowledge and tools to be able to really start enjoying my life again and I will be forever grateful to Kirsty and Illuminate for holding a hand out when I felt at my lowest and most vulnerable.

Kirsty at Illuminate is fantastic! I have been seeing her for 5 months now and I believe my life would be very different if I wasn’t having therapy with her. She is compassionate, empathic, kind and understand about everything we talk about and work on. I have been to other therapists in the past and have struggled to find the right fit so I am very happy to say that for the first time in my life I feel safe and can be 100% honest within my therapy sessions knowing that I will receive the care and support that I need to get better. I am already seeing results in working with Kirsty towards my recovery and no matter what emotions and feelings may come up, I always look forward to and feel positive about our sessions.
