Deli has a lovely range, quite a good selection. Staff were attentive. Scone was quite dry and I would have preferred to option to buy just one rather than two, though I did like the fresh strawberries alongside.

Lovely produce and friendly staff but £3.50 for an overdone sausage roll! Talk about taking advantage of a lack of competition. Sadly as I local I don't think I'll be revisiting any time soon, much better quality and value elsewhere.

Oh my days... this is a cute deli with fresh sweet and savoury goodies on offer. Booze, jams, crackers, Christmas, chocolate, everything you want from a deli. Gluten free options were excellent fresh and tasty.Fresh coffee and cold drinks. You can take your cake and eat in or take out.John's of Appledore have worked hard to ensure the locals and visitors get quality produce and they haven't failed. Excellent festive menu orders need to be in by the 14th December.

My 8 year old still says these are the best Croissants ever, three years on. Given the number she eats trust me this is praise of the highest order.

What a wonderful cafe. A lovely, although compact, place to relax and enjoy fresh and excellent homemade food. I chose the cheese toastie which was beyond ordinary, accompanied with a fresh side salad and was most delicious. The fresh coffee and tea was to perfection. Well done to all the staff in this multi award winning cafe.

Excellent foodShame about the slowness of service..If we had wanted to drink our coffee at the same time..we would have been disappointed!!!!Ice cream runny as tub left out ...Lots of staff on the bakery deli side ..only one on coffee and Ice cream

London prices and a total lack of consistency when it comes to making coffee. The girl with blonde hair and glasses on Thursday made me such a nice latte I ordered another, but then it was her colleague who made it and bleeeeeuuurrrgghh. Same this morning , had to get my coffee replaced. Nice selection of stuff in the shop but tbh I would be more inclined to spend in there if the prices were more reasonable or if they did a discount for example spend a tenner at the deli counter and get a free sausage roll/pastie/ whatever. As it is I didn't want to spend at all.

Fantastic selection of local produce & Homemade treats. Great wine and alcohol selection, picked up a bottle today and it was delicious! Staff always are friendly and helpful.

Went there with my sister on a day out. Nice little take away. Freshly made waffles. I got the strawberry and cream waffle. And a take away tea in a fully recyclable cup. The waffle was lovely and staff very nice.

We stayed in Appledore for a month and the two outlets of John’s became or go to for groceries. Our favorite finds we’re the dried tomatoes with garlic and olives. They also stock many plant-based basics like milk, high quality pastas and fresh vegetable and not very basic items like cream, hummus, gyozas, soups and a lot more. They stock some amazing Devon honey. My husband liked the pasties, he tried the veggie and the steak ones.
