Munstone House Country Hotel

We found this hotel extremely accomendating after having a really bad experience with another hotel. The owners where polite, professional and made our stay welcome and memorable. The rooms are stunning and very beautiful throughout and money has been well spent on fixtures and fittings. We look forward to going back and would highly recommend this beautiful periodic building. The owner is hands on and front of house and can't do enough to help you, what more can you ask from a hotel. This is a five out of five review and personally can't recommend this hotel enough. Excellent hotel, amazing room, I'm sad I only stayed 1 night. Staff were incredible.

My wife and I had cause to book a couple of nights stay at Munstone House for the purposes of visiting friends and collecting a new car in Hereford.This is a magnificent stately home and despite needing a mild refresh in some areas we enjoyed its charm.We were very well looked after and wifi problems aside have no complaints. We will definitely be back should the need arise.

Falwty Towers meets the Marie Celeste!We were relocated here from the booked Hopbine which on arrival was locked up and deserted. Phoned the number on the notice on the door and eventually got sent here. An old country house, long since past its glory days and definitely in need of tlc. NEVER SAW A HUMAN. Told on phone where to find a key and directions to room. Room was spacious but old and tired. Bathroom desperate for renovation.Reciev3d another phone call whilst out having a meal at a local pub. If you want a cooked breakfast that will be £7 extra each". Breakfast arrived in a paper carrier. A pot of fruit yoghurt

In previous comments my sister explained that we got a cancellation sprung up on us days before our arrival due to apparent ‘work’ happening on the building.. we were travelling all the way from Kent for a wedding.I phoned the day after she cancelled on us to see if any rooms were available as we were suspicious and suddenly loads of rooms were available? Disgusting service.

Mattress firmness wasn't to my taste but that's not to fault of the hotel in fairness..Biggest and absolutely unacceptable issue of this hotel was the fact that there was ABSOLUTELY NO HOT WATER. Want to wash your hands after using the bathroom? No hot water. Fancy a bath after work? Not possible be ause no hot water.The room was beautiful, bathroom was breathtaking but rendered useless.It seems to me like they've unfortunately been hit by the price of energy at the moment but instead of making reasonable adjustments they've decided the heating and hot water are taking the hit.No bar or restaurant available unfortunately.The staff seemed nice enough on check in but reception is not manned. Unfortunately unless the hot water was fixed I would absolutely never recommend this stay sadly. It has such a fantastic potential but sadly doesn't meet it.

I had booked to stay here next Wednesday for 20 people to only get a phone call today to cancel due to work going on! We are travelling to from Kent for my sisters wedding on the Thursday and now got to find somewhere for 20 for people to stay!!

The photos are clearly from its better days and really make the experience a tad unfair. Plenty of room, I was in a garden suite, no internet, it stated there was, and a very strong damp smell. The entry to my “suite” was unassuming not far off a building site, boarded off areas to the side and above. The blinds in the bathroom didn’t work - naturalists won’t mind that, but within direct line of sight of the bath and shower. Hostess was lovely, the bed was comfortable but the tv didn’t seem to like playing a number of channels -loss of signal. If you don’t like spiders, avoid, i counted over 20 and web with how ever many eggs they lay. A random box of cereal in the wardrobe, chair leg was broken, handle broken from the bathroom door I didn’t fit under the shower, I am 6ft 3, but for such a large room that was strange, the mixer tap for the bath wasn’t set properly as the whole unit would twist, not just the tap, when operating. The Secret Garden, a nearby pub/restaurant was lovely if they have accommodation, stay there. Such a shame!

Jacuzzi bath had a very bad leak. No reception staff at desk, breakfast was in a paper bag and only one between the two of us. Room was lovely but the grounds could do with quite a bit of tidying up.
