This is a very good home with a lovely environment and I found the staff to be caring and considerate

Definitely not the 5 star they advertise, the nursing team are lovely, however the place is not very clean. I just think it's so sad these places get away with it.

Visited on an activity day, outstanding service and lovely staff, refurbished courtyard which is lovely for the residents to get some fresh air

Reposting this as I suspect my review was hidden!Where do I begin?I have an elderly relative that has been in this home for a few years now and after a few visits I'm not impressed with the condition or cleanliness of the home, nor the care provided.When I arrived I was greeted by five or six members of staff sat smoking and chatting outside the front of the home. Why? Who is looking after the residents? Upon discovering this I looked through the front of the building to find residents sat on their own in chairs doing nothing, looking (understandably) very bored and lacking stimulation!The floor and area around the front of the home is littered with cigarette butts, and along with the home itself looks worn out, and in need of total renovation. A far cry from the photos on Google. Not off to a great start...I'm then lead around to the rear of the property by a member of staff whereby an access gate is secured by means of a physical padlock, rather than a digital entry system. The member of staff doesn't know the padlock code and is ill prepared. This is very reassuring.Once through the gate, I am lead onto the patio area and garden, which are both poorly designed or adapted for anyone with mobility issues, or any elderly person. The entire area is poorly lit, there are multiple trip hazards and steps to navigate, and it is dirty (you are presented with more cigarette butts!). Again, this gives a very poor impression about the overall cleanliness and standards of the home.At this point you'd expect to walk into the Home itself but no - Instead, we're shown into an outbuilding known as the cafe" as we're still not allowed into the home itself to visit our relative due to covid restrictions (even though these visits were in 2022

A long standing friend is a resident. She is extremely well looked after and the staff are tip top. The food is very good. And it is beautifully decorated.

Staff are great with the residents and treat them like family. Also great rapport with the nurses and other health care professionals, offering a meal and a drink for them during the pandemic. Superb.
