What a lovely place to come and stay or have a wedding like we did they made my daughters day so perfect the food is superb and the staff are above and beyond absolutely excellent

Food, 5 stars.Waitress service, 5 stars.Location, 5 stars.Manager, 1 star.Everything was great until the bill came for the meal. We had chosen 4 x 2 course meals and 1 x 3 course meals ( a set price for each). The computer charged us for 3 x 3 course meals and 2 x 2 course meals costing and extra £10. The manager refused to accept it was wrong and was not going to accept we were right.We got our way eventually, but he got one of the girls to apologise and change the bill. He walked by us twice as we were leaving, refusing to make eye contact, much less apologise.

We got married at Barton Hall in August and the day was perfect! It is a truly beautiful and unique venue and our guests could not speak more fondly of Barton Hall! The staff were extremely helpful from our first viewing and went above and beyond to make our day special! We are so grateful for the memories at Barton Hall and we will certainly be back for our wedding anniversary for a trip to the spa!

Comfortable stay in a nice room. Room was a little smaller than expected and the Wi-Fi signal wasn’t great. Breakfast was included in our stay and was good quality and fresh. We used the spa facilities while we were there which were great. The outdoor spa style was lovely. In terms of surrounding area, there’s not much within walking distance. The restaurant is a little pricey and higher quality so just something to bear in mind

Went for a meal with friends Saturday evening - table for 4 with nice view - Building and grounds are stunning and the service was very good - starters and sweets were pretty good and a bit different but the main courses were very ordinary, which was a slight disappointment as the bill was a bit much for what we had - Not helped by a large Rhubarb Gin and tonic being almost £14 !! now that is a rip of no matter how you look at it and no one likes to feel they've been had.

We are local to the hotel but this is the first time we came here and we defo will return. The restaurant decor was nice, the staff was kind. We had a bit of walk in the garden (not long as there was a wedding and we did not wanted to interrupt). The spa looks lovely so we might treat our self on a later date.We had a soup and a baked camembert sharer plate. It was good quality, big portions. We really enjoyed it.With a small rose wine, one Long Island Tea +10% tip the total was £45 which I think is not a bad price.

Two night stay. Fairly priced including three hours of spa use. Gym is small but well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Property was well maintained. Our only is the showers were cold on our first night. The staff suggested it was because the boilers were being changed over.

We got married at Baton Hall in Sept 2023 and I would definitely recommend them. I can’t stress enough how amazing this venue is.The venue itself is beautiful, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. I have to give a special mention to Abi who was our primary point of contact.So many of our guests commented on the venue itself, particularly the beautiful Orangery where the ceremony was held. The food was also excellent.The majority of our guests stayed over and everyone said how happy they were with their rooms, the beds are comfy and the breakfast was excellent. There is a good variety of rooms that accommodated all our guests from accessible rooms, to adjoining rooms and additional ‘pop up’ beds where they were needed.My wife stayed the night before and made use of the garden spa which she said was absolutely lovely.We have also eaten here when we had meetings with suppliers and the food from Vines is excellent.I would recommend Barton Hall for a wedding without hesitation, but also just for some food or a nights stay. We will definitely be returning.

We’ve been coming as a family for a long time now to the restaurant and we’ve never had an issue. The food is always excellent and the dining room is great. Our most recent experience however was not ideal. We dined for my mother’s birthday last Sunday and whilst the food was excellent and the waitresses were great, the manager completely ruined my mothers birthday meal. It very clearly states on their menu that a 2 course meal is £27.50 and a 3 course meal is £32.50. When presented with the bill, it came out £10 more expensive than expected. The manager came and was immediately hostile and belittling to my step father, trying to explain that he was wrong and the bill is calculated on the total number of courses consumed. I pointed out that it was basic maths and the till had worked it out incorrectly. He didn’t want to know and disappeared, leaving a poor young girl to apologise on his behalf. As we were leaving the dining room, he scurried away from the bar as he saw us approaching! Such a shame as every meal we have had here has been amazing but his attitude has probably prevented us from returning again.
