Always a pleasant place to visit. Good selection of quality local produce too. The cakes, Bread Pudding and Marmalades made in the village by Carole's Cakes are amazing. Highly recommended

Appleton Community Shop
Great convenience store run by volinteers. They sell a wide range of vegetables, fruit, fresh bread, milk, local cheeses, pastries and much more as well as the Post Office twice a week. A lovely shop and everyone so helpful and friendly. Do visit, you'll not regret it.

The ladies running the shop were super helpful this afternoon when I had a bike issue nearby. They had a toolkit that they lent me to get back on the road. I highly recommend supporting this great community shop!

Great little shop.My wife and me was out walking yesterday and saw the shop sold coffee.We checked our pockets for masks,but we never had any.I pulled my T-shirt up over my face at the door way ,and called one of the staff.She was so helpful and friendly she got us two disposable ones.The coffee was definitely the best , will call in again when out that way.

Appleton Community Shop
This is a lovely, friendly local shop. It's small but has a well thought out range of goods with interesting brands and a lot of local produce (cheese, meat, veg, beer and Bothy vineyard wine).There's always a good selection of ready to eat food (pasties, pastries), great coffee and it's one of the few places to still sell penny sweets!

Absolute life saver.I typically cycle from Oxford to Southmoor and back to challenge myself. Today, I completely forgot to bring my water bottle and I was cycling back craving for water, and I didn't have a lock so the other stores weren't so helpful.The person who served me was very nice, and I was able to make it home just fine.Remember to bring water with you, especially when exercising for a huge amount of miles. However, this store was very helpful for my needs.

Very good, inexpensive food with acceptable coffee (from a multidrinks machine). I stopped on a cycle ride when I saw the coffee and cakes
