How can I give you a review if the hotel is closed and not open for business, I was not told this , there's no notice on the website or on the hotel door, which is very disappointing.I was about to leave and asked a gentleman he told me I had to go down to the Sister Hotel the Swan, which again its not on the website , so whoever owns the Malthouse please get your act together.

What can I say, they have definitely not let the fire knock them down, It was a lovely atmosphere on Saturday. The outside seating area was lovely and the little bar.The toilets were very clean and the glitter toilet seats did make us smile.

The pub building appears to be temporarily closed (August 23) and undergoing significant work. There is however a large seated area outside where drinks and food are still being served. Nice place to visit on a warm evening. They serve burgers and pizza which all looked great.

We booked the 'Superior Suite' at The Malthouse as accommodation for a nearby Wedding in August. Arriving late, we found the Pub entirely closed. Going into the pub next door, we find out that it is all owned by the same people and one month earlier there had been a fire at The Malthouse and it was not open.We were instructed that our booking would be in 'The Chocolate Suite' in the nearby Bakers property. Not only was the room such a step down from the room we booked (though, by the state of it, I would question whether the room we had actually booked would be any better) - it had also not been cleaned since the last people left. There was dead flies all in the room, stray hairs in the sinks, a dirty toilet, plus opened and used toiletries in the shower.I immediately turned out of the room and went back to the Pub to demand a different room but in the 5 minutes between me getting the keys and coming back, they'd shut up and all staff had left. There was no emergency number or staff on site. The next morning, the gentleman managing the pub apologised and sent cleaners in immediately. He explained that we could call the arena manager during the week and we would receive a full refund. This never happened - I have called several times and only got through to anybody senior once. I was told I'd receive a call back but that has never happened even with me chasing it twice.I would return to Ironbridge but never in my life will that pub or its owners, CraftJam, receive any money from me.In short; No contact from the Hotel Owners regarding a change of booking. An inferior room by such a large stretch.Uncleanliness.Inability to speak to the staff - unable to contact or be contacted back.Ironbridge was lovely with such lovely hotels nearby, it's a shame we feel so conned.

They have obviously recently suffered from a fire. They have made an amazing and enjoyable experience out the most of a terrible situation. The pizza and chips were delicious, excellent portable toilets. Great variety of drinks. Fantastic atmosphere all set up out side. We enjoyed an evening of food and drinks with our kids and our dogs with us. Lovely helpful and friendly staff.

Great room and great service. I cycled there down the silken trail from the train station. Best day ever and great to see the local attractions without the crowds. Food good, service keen. Hotel looks tiny but is a bit of a rabbit warren" with good sized well equipped rooms. I was attending an event at the exhibition centre and getting a taxi there was easy."

My wife and I stopped off for an early evening couple of drinks and having recently moved into the area we popped into the Malthouse right by the river and the staff are very friendly and looked after us well. They have a wide range of ales/wines and spirits all top quality. It's well worth a visit.

We, a group of 3, went there for dinner. Our food was great, and the staff was amazing. Also have to mention the nice atmosphere. Only thing that wasn't 5/5 was the ribeye steak, in though it was ordered as rare, it more fit the description of medium rare. A small thing, not enough to ruin the enjoyment of the steak

The only reason I couldn't give it a 5 star overall rating was because they were having renovation works carried out when we visited so everything was outside (good job it was nice weather). We had to use plastic cups which wasn't ideal but im not moaning. The drinks were still spot on, just hope the renovation works are all now complete so people can get to enjoy the inside. We definitely pop in for some drinks and possibly food when we revisit so we can check out the renovation works.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this B&B. The room was disgustingly dirty, with dead flies everywhere and a pervasive smell of damp that made it nearly unbearable. The toilet was filthy, and to top it off, there were half-used shampoo bottles left behind from a previous guest. The online pictures were completely misleading; they bore no resemblance to the grim reality of the room I stayed in. To make matters worse, the management promised a full refund during my stay, but now they are avoiding our calls and emails. I would not recommend this place to anyone; it’s worse than a college dormitory.
