Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough - Centre Square, an IHG Hotel
I enjoyed my stay here, room was spacious including the bathroom. Close to the train station and in the heart of the city centre. Staff were polite and helpful especially Spencer. Breakfast was great, need I stay. I'm definitely coming back.

A great, clean lovely hotel. With the car park on the roof, and the lift straight down to reception, so a well planned place, 2 minutes walk into the town centre.Staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and the breakfast was lovely. Cheap prices too, so all in all, a very high recommendation.

This would not be my 1st choice. The room was OK. Staff seemed very busy but tried to be attentive.My food was awful. Nachos that consisted of dry totillas with melted cheddar, no salsa! I had a very small bowl on the side with a little bit of sour cream and guacamole. Not enough to take away the dryness of the tortillas.Breakfast was OK, a buffet of cold and hot foods, pastries etc.

Spent a night here, on national holidays trip. We booked a trip away for 9 of us, for a 60th Birthday. We had a great stay, rooms lovely, clean & comfy, evening meal very nice, & a fabulous breakfast. Staff all very accommodating, and very helpful on filling us in, with the best bars/pubs nearby to visit.Would recommend a visit 100%.

I stayed here in the hotel for 2 weeks. I have the longest business trip The hotel is perfect for me. Near the city center. The rooms are refreshed with new TV's. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty. Highly recommended this hotel for everyone.

Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough - Centre Square, an IHG Hotel
Decided to set up base here for our first ever Boro game. Stayed here for about a week. It seems a little strange parking on the roof at the centre to the rear, but there is rooftop rear access into the hotel. The on-duty Manager helped immensely with our fussy 5yo eater with getting schnitzels (not exactly on the menu) cut up for each night, that when he was off, the chefs knew exactly what we wanted when we asked again. He was up for a chat about the Boro, and it ended up being a great perfect walking distance to and from the Riverside. All the shops around were in fantastic reach (sadly a couple like M&S have now closed). I would definitely look at staying here again, but would ask for a closer room than the end of the labyrinth we seemed to have been in.
