Want to reduce the plastic you use at home? Alyson from Hives and Herbals has shown how beeswax wraps are a sustainable, washable, reusable alternative to cling film. Absolutely loved making and decorating the wraps, and rolling a beeswax candle at one of her recent workshops. Highly recommended if you want your kids to learn about bees or to source local bee by-products.

Alyson of Hives and Herbals provides a wonderful selection of local bee products. I enjoy using the wax wraps for my food and the beautiful balms for my hands and feet. Local honey is amazing and all provided by the incredibly knowledgeable and passionate Alyson.

My partner and I attended a session with Alyson this morning and it was fantastic. Being a beekeeper for the day has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember and today my bee dreams came true. Alyson is so knowledgeable and friendly - no questions were stupid questions! And we got to leave with a homemade candle. I will definitely be coming back to Alyson for more beekeeping experiences. Until then, I’m more than content with my local honey.
