Was recommended by a friend to try the aston fields Chinese take away last night and I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed. Had chicken chow main that was full of soggy tasteless noodles with hardly any beansprouts.Also the sweet and sour crispy chicken balls were so overcooked that you could hardly taste the chicken inside.Such as a shame coz I’ve always read good reviews.Not be rushing back there anytime soon

Good service, shocking food quality. It was like the cook wouldn’t be able to find china on map. Buy some sweets out of the co-op, they will be more Chinese

Chicken balls inedible, didn't taste fresh maybe the oil was dirty I don't know but it wasn't nice the meat was chewy and rubbery and the Kung po was inedible. Even the prawn crackers taste funny! Rice and sweet and sour sauce was nice though.

I had not been here for probably over 25 years, since I lived at home.The service is friendly and the food is of excellent quality.They will cook your food as your request, ie extra spice etc.Definitely worth a visit if you are in Bromsgrove.

How rude can a person be? As rude as the idiot lady on the counter at this takeaway. The order constantly incorrect and no sauce with the sweet and sour chicken balls! That’s my fault as well apparently! Make sure when you order sweet and sour chicken balls you say can I have the sauce as well. When I complained I was told not to come back. We have a large family and spend a lot on takeaway food. Intelligent? No rude ! Yes the rudest ! What a rude little idiot and if she could understand her English isn’t as good as she thinks then that would be better. Before you start I’m not racist my family are mixed race Asian it’s just bad service is bad service

Ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, egg fried rice and Singapore chow mein. The rice had chips mixed in with them(forgivable) but the sweet and sour chicken balls were undercooked even raw(unforgivable) in the middle, not just one but most of them. First and last visit for me. Dreadful. Pics below.

Awful food, very bland with lots of water in it(Chicken Chow Mein). The sweet & sour sauce was bright pink !!!!Even the prawn crackers were as hard as rock, think they had been sitting around for a while. Definitely not go there again

Every dish was insipid, middle of the road and not at all worth what we paid for it. It just seemed thrown together, nothing special about the flavours and textures, almost like it was watered down. Chicken Satay just tasted generic and boring, barely any actual satay flavour and contained what I originally had thought was stir fried cabbage but on closer inspection, weirdly turned out to be lettuce! Is this normal?! Or did they just run out of cabbage...? To top it all off, delivered by a miserable teenager who uttered a pathetic 'uh' when we questioned the fact that it cost more than we had calculated... Most quality places offer free delivery! Every other Chinese I've ever ordered also included complimentary prawn crackers which were disappointingly absent (?!) Just rubbish and not worth your hard earned cash. I'm just assuming that the positive reviewers here haven't experienced something of a higher quality to compare to.

Nothing wrong with ordering the food and delivery, just a shame the food was no where near as good as the service. Food was hot which is always a bonus but the taste was bland and the chicken looked and tasted what could only be described as a lot of fatty lumps (I've never known chicken to be fatty). The only thing I could eat was the chips, egg fried rice and the pancake roll. Unless you fancy a chip butty I would advise giving this Chinese a wide birth.

Food is usually pretty good, highy recommend the salt and chilli chicken. Usually pre order as its so much easier, last time we forgot to pick a delivery time, rang and spoke to the rudest person over the phone. She should not be aloud to talk to other humans, other than that we have never had issues pre ordering.
