Dined here a few times with my mum, and once by myself. Made to feel at home, and welcome on Each visit. I recommend dining here than any other place. Chicken n chips and curry sauce is also recommended. Value for money and good atmosphere with friendly staff.

I won't be venturing in here ever again. So disappointed. Arrived 8:15pm when they close at 8:30pm. Placed my order then was asked if I would need a bag. I was taken aback and said no as I had a bag with me. After paying I enquired why, would I be charged for a bag? I was told yes 20p. The bags are paper bags and I was ordering 3 meals! I patiently waited for my order but whilst waiting, the lights were turned down substantially. There was several other people in the shop. Then a couple of minutes later the lights were switched off completely. I understand it was near closing time but I was back in my car by 8:28pm so there really is no excuse for switching the lights off! So unwelcoming and rude. I don't think I've ever been in a place that does that before the place has even closed. I tried not to trip over on my way out. They need to be careful as I'm sure someone would be eligible for a claim should they trip!

Again another fail from them, wonder when I will wake up and give up with them.Pie, chips and gravy, £1.50 for the gravy, proper mugged, after a couple of checks, yes barely a teaspoon of gravy on the steak pie!Next time I am taking the drive to Gretna!

Just too expensive £26.50 for 2 large fish and chips. Portion size average. Nothing wrong with the taste. Long and sometimes what looks like disorganised chaos. Back to Fontanas it is

Has to be one of the best chippies in the UK. Super food, splendid team behind the counter and really well designed.For the first time ever had Lasagne & Chips from a Chip Shop and it must be one of the best I have tasted.Well done to everyone there - a real treat and you can see why it's so busy. A landmark in Stanwix, Carlisle.

Called here whilst passing through.Very clean modern updated chippy with friendly staff. It ends there. Other than that it's just your regular local chippy, foods standard for a chippy, portion size was about right for the price.Like how they are still supporting the NHS staff and offering additional 10% of your order, more places should do this.#yorkshiresfinestpair

Ordered from here tonight absolutely fantastic fryery specials were fantastic value. The curry sauce is amazing and omg we ordered a few different things but them onion rings are to die for!! Everything tasted so fresh. Staff very super friendly couldn’t have been nicer ⭐️

Apparently my money isn’t good enough, placed an order for a family of 4 via Deliveroo, but then 15 minutes later I’m finally informed my order is rejected!That’s ok, I will spend my money elsewhere. Must be nice to be in a position able to pick and choose your customers.Don’t worry I won’t waste my time trying to order again!
