I haven't left negative reviews before, but I have to for here!I paid extra for a bunch of spa treatments for my little Yorkie which added to the high price of a groom here made it very expensive for a toy sized dog but I thought it would be a lovely treat for her.She came out with a lopsided haircut, straggly bits all over and no sign that her face had been washed let alone treated with all the extra bits I paid for. I complained, and then raised it to the head of Pets at Home before eventually receiving an apology and a full refund. Unfortunately due to the jagged haircut, we had to take her to another groomer who said the best they could do was try to blend it out for now but her hair will need to grow for a month or two before we can have her looking nice again.Absolutely avoid.

Only gave 1 star because I couldn't proceed without. Never done a negatiive review before but I was shocked to see my dog when he came home. Asked for a shnauzer cut and he came back completely shaved, whiskers everything gone. Could not believe my eyes. Yes he had a few matts but looks like she has put the clippers on the shortest setting and just shaved. Absolutely heartbroken. Charged £10 extra because there were a few matts. £53 later and cannot recognise my dog. my son usually cuts him with scissors and does a way better job. he works the matts out as you should trimming of the worst then cuts it to length. i got him 'professionally' groomed because i wanted him to look nice as we have his puppies and they will be up for sale soon, now he just looks like a very small whippet. absolutely disgusted, they didn't even call to check if i was happy for them to shave him!!!!

After using our local Groom Room since they opened, during the 2nd lockdown we had an emergency groom with a local alternative. Really glad to get back to the Groom Room and so happy with the grooming of our 2 dogs, including puppy's first visit. We had specific requests which groomers were happy to meet, and did so beautifully. Also, I am disabled and was unable to manage both dogs in the lift, so rang the store and they happily came to the car park to fetch the dogs and complete the paperwork. Same on pick up.Brilliant, friendly service, very highly recommended.

Poor groom initially, had to return to get it rectified, which included having to do a 90 minute round trip

Had a free nail clip voucher from pets at home. Usually clip and file our dogs nails ourselves at home but thought we would give it a try. TGR definitely clipped the nails but did not file at all so they are now even sharper than before. Wouldn't pay for this. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Will never return here .My dog was told he was a nuisance as he wriggled .They muzzled him without telling me .The Staff were very dismissive of him on collection and rude .Told me he was too matted despite only just coming out of lockdown.Told me I should have made an appointment earlier despite cancelling the first one themselves. My dog cutwas awfull and right to the skin with Nick's on him.. He came back very subdued .Beware
