Southside Road Surgery

I have been a patient here for 70 years, and have always had an excellent experience and help when needed. All the Doctors and staff have always been helpful and professional with any problems or issues I have had, and would always recommend this practice to anyone wanting to join.

I had to leave this practice due to having a breakdown in my mental health and being told by the practice that We don't deal with mental health issues. If you have a physical health problem I can make you an appointment but if it's mental health you need to go elsewhere". Even with physical health issues they left a lot to be desired telling me on one occasion that they didn't believe me; on another the GP said "Those symptoms are very vague (acute stomach pain and a burning sensation on the left of my stomach). Why don't you just go home and look it up on the Internet?" Appalling "service"."

Has been the family practice for years. Always able to get help at any time.

Was shocked, moved to Scotland & filled forms to join surgery,AFTER 2 days only, A female Doctor wanted to remove 5 out of 11 medications that keep me well, I have never met her,I am 59 & she knows nothing about my life & illnesses I have,Yet in 30 min of a call from her, I am stopping treatment of 5 medications,I said how can you do this to me?Those medicines work for me & take away the pain I am in agonywithout them! I do not want to try other medicines?I do not want my medicines to be cancelled when they been given to me by specialist in hospital & from my Doctor who care's about me!Why would you remove medicine that keeps me well?I do not agree to this, I am disabled in constant pain with my feet & I cry everyday because I can not walk or stand on my feet, I have rheumatoid arthritis, Swollen Joints, detreating bones, skin that bleeds & sores,Ulcers, blisters, chromes disease, Coma's due to affection's, Migraines & end up in hospital every 3-4 months, YOU want to remove my medicine from my prescriptions, that help me with my bad illnesses,I will not come here again,I want all my treatments & all my medicine's I have been on for years,I will find another surgery else where & want all my medicines to stay on my prescription's, I wont be back here again,Forward on my information to another surgery & I will get in touch with you shortly, treated me very badly with out even meeting me once!!!I will go to another surgery that will let me have the medicines I urgentlyneed,Afterwards I spoke to another surgery in another Doctor's surgery & I said are you going to take half my medicines away that save me to,All because I have moved area ?They said they do not treat people that way,If you move into the area I suggest your healthy or look out!!!
