Affordable Furniture (Morris Trading Ltd)

Firstly the furniture from this business is good quality, but what is not is the customer service. I have never experienced customer service so appalling and have been left disappointed everytime I have contacted the business. Was originally told the furniture would be delivered within 14 days, after chasing up with phone calls a delivery day was set for 4 weeks, which didn't happen due to van being stuck in traffic (?) New delivery day arrived with only half furniture arriving, no explanation or apology. Once again chased up with numerous phone calls, eventually being delivered over a week later. I was also promised £50 refund as a goodwill gesture but over 3 months later still waiting. Once again, several phone calls, promises it had/will be done but has never materialized. I was going to spend a lot more money buying several items of furniture for my house, but not now. Customer service and communication is too tiresome and I'm fed up of hearing excuses. I am a real customer, who has had to resort to posting feedback to be understand about how disappointed I am.29/05/19UpdateI can assure you that my invoice states delivery approx 2 weeks, never was 4-6 weeks mentioned. You only explained the missing stool when I contacted you to ask where it was. The stool was delivered by your delivery men, unannounced after being told that it would be delivered in person in an evening, again several days later than promised. I can assure you I have not received any refund...I have bank statements to prove it. I was suppose to receive a call back the next day from the managing director...still waiting several weeks later!

We bought a chest of drawers in 2019 and during covid one if the drawers ended up with a crack. Took it back to see if we could get it repaired. The answer was absolutely. Great service all round thank you.

The furniture they make is fine, just buy a ready made piece or if you do buy a bespoke piece then prepare yourself for a long .......and I mean long. wait ! They ask for full payment in advance and then fob you off with every excuse under the sun ! The owner eventually personally delivered my furniture with a big apology and a discount but none of that made up for the terrible customer service . It's a shame really as they do make decent furniture.Update : Karen replied to my review blaming the whole sorry affair on Covid and subsequent lockdowns , that is not the case as I contacted her on several occasions to check that my furniture was in production and was always told that it had been made , but just wanted painting or finishing etc. etc . When I did get really annoyed in the end and threatened to contact my credit card company , the owner then told me it would be made in the next two weeks ! ( At the height of Covid ) As I mentioned in my review the finished product is of reasonable quality but before you place an order for bespoke furniture ( for which you'll be asked to pay up front ) read the other Google reviews and you'll see it isn't just me that had problems !! There is nothing worse than being lied to and I'm afraid Karen's response is yet again deluded .Update : I've had a change of heart after Karen's suggestion that I wasn't supportive and understanding of her business during Covid. I now feel you should go ahead and order some bespoke furniture from affordable furniture, pay for it all in advance and when you do receive it, on time , to spec and without having to chase the sale up or listen to a 1001 excuses post your review on here to prove me wrong . I look forward to reading them .

Ordered mattress,was told delivery would be 7- 10 day's,it arrived after 1 month!!When phoned up to ask were it was so long , women became very abusive on the phone.Asked if I could get my money back, definitely not.And you have to pay upfront all the money.Definitely told 7-10 day's max..

Got our bed and bedroom furniture from here. Karon was a great patient help. Goods delivered as detailed. Couldn't be any happier. Strongly recommend this great local business.
