Liz and Graham are fantastic! As a local private children's physiotherapist, I'd been referring patients through to these guys for quite some time as my patients' parents always came back with gleaming reviews about their service and how professional and effective their products were. After having had some troubling knee pain myself after a recent return to sports, I decided I would get myself and my son booked in... and I'm SO glad I did! They were absolutely amazing with my son (who is a little bit inquisitive to say the least!) which allowed me to really relax into the session. They completed a very thorough examination of our feet/lower limbs, completed gait analysis, took moulds of our feet and looked at our weightbearing tendencies - and as a physio I can honestly say, they really knew their stuff!! Following this, they made our insoles for us THERE AND THEN, which was such a breath of fresh air as the typical turnaround for NHS insoles can be weeks if not months, and they were such better quality than your typical over the counter insoles (as they were obviously bespoke!). Their facilities are lovely and clean, and they themselves are professional, knowledgeable and all-round lovely people.I cannot recommend them highly enough and having experienced the service myself I will be sure to continue referring patients through to them for as long as they will let me!Keep up the good work guys! :)

Recently had an appointment with Graham to have to have new insoles made up. As this was a follow up appointment (hadn't seen him since about 2 years), he assessed my feet and was pleased to say my first insoles had done a good job in correcting my ankles. I highly recommend Graham. Not only is he thorough in his work, he takes the time to explain things to you in a way that is easily understood.

My first contact with Liz was on the telephone. I had a personal emergency and needed advice on heel pain. I was about to embark on a holiday followed by a trek across Spain leaving in 2 days. I doubted I could walk at all without severe pain. Liz unfortunately wasn’t able to see me due to her own family circumstances. However the next day( Saturday) Liz rang me to say she had rearranged her weekend to be able to see me that day and hopefully help my foot pain.That in itself I consider is professionalism and service far above and beyond.From first meeting Liz that Saturday I found her to be a perfectly pleasant, obviously very knowledgeable clinician, completely dedicated to improving muscular and skeletal foot conditions.We chatted as she put me totally at ease and I immediately knew that she was a health professional determined not stop until she had got to the bottom of the cause of my pain.A very thorough biomechanical assessment of my feet, gait, and muscle tone ensued. I felt comfortable throughout this and never doubted Liz’s care and determination to find the cause of my pain and how this could be corrected. I sensed she wouldn’t stop until she had! Everything was thoroughly explained to me and I stopped worrying.Liz did succeed and even though our appointment took longer that she or I would have anticipated Liz carried on.To my amazement I left her clinic with a pair of orthotic, skilfully hand built insoles. These specifically address my individual foot difficulties , made then and there in her clinic.A truly amazing professional health practitioner and wonderful woman.I can’t thank you enough Liz. The trek will now go on! Thanks to your dedication to your professional work, helpfulness and putting your patient( me) first.

I first visited The Foot & Insole Specialist when I had pain in my toe whilst at the gym. I left with custom-made bespoke insoles which relieved the pain and I have used in different shoes ever since! I recently went back as I was experiencing pain in my knee after spending a lot of time walking... Graham and Liz were so helpful and knowledgeable, knew what the issue was straight away, gave me tips on exercises to help the pain, and again, created bespoke insoles. My shoes are so much comfier now and my posture feels better! Thanks so much. The best service - I would 100% recommend.

All I can say is WOWI can walk again without pain .I have very high arches and suffer badly with plantar fasciitis , Il admit I have the worst feet .But last year due to carrying on through the pain of plantar and admittedly not exercising my feet and calf’s I suffered a complete tear ( rupture ) of the plantar .I have been under a foot specialist and it has improved but still was giving me some pain .I saw Graham who absolutely knows his stuff ,I’ve been to drs , physios and foot specialists and can honestly say Graham explained more than all of them put together about the dynamics of my feet he also showed me exercises that I need to do and emphasised that I need to do them for life , even when my feet feel back to normal I need to do them .My orthotics cost me with his assessment £240.a lot money but imagine not being able to walk properly then all of a sudden you can .Worth every penny I’d say

I could not recommend this service more highly. The assessment was thorough and professional and bespoke insoles have alleviated discomfort in my foot, knee and hip. Even though I have to travel a long way, I shall keep visiting this clinic as I have complete confidence in them. Being able to have boots and trainers fitted in the shop next door makes for a perfect service.Thank you.

Went to see Graham on Saturday 1st June after it was touted to me a few times that a custom made insole would improve my lower leg pain and possibly improve my sports performance. Great bloke, easy to get on with, plenty of work done in the consultation and made a number of recommendations for insoles, ended up making me two different sets, one for my cycling shoes and one for my trainers, all completed whilst I waited. Went out for a brief bike ride the same day and could feel the difference straight away, far more power through the pedals and a lot more comfortable. Tried out the trainers today and similar experience, felt a little odd at first but soon got used to it and definitely could sense that the jarring in my legs and pelvis was significantly better. Highly recommend giving Graham a try if you have any concerns in this area

Before I had custom-made insoles made for me, I felt my hill-walking days were over…indeed, any walking of note.New boots and insoles through Liz and Graham transformed my progressively worse foot and ankle pains, allowing me to get back to the best long Lakeland fell walks I had managed for years. I have been so happy to get my main hobby back.If you aren’t sure whether to give them a try ( as I wasn’t!), then I would urge you to do it. You owe it to yourself.

Graham & Liz were great. I had relied on an old pair of custom insoles for too long and put off getting new ones as I didn't want to be paying over the odds for someone giving me generic insoles or having to travel far. Graham helped educate me on the issues I have and how to improve them. My 'comfort' insoles in my walking boots are heaven and I love that they offered me a slimmer pair for my 'fashion shoes' too. Amazing. Will definitely be back in a year's time. Now walking comfortably again!

I had great experience with Graham on my assessment and creation of the 2 sets of insoles for running and hiking. It was clear to me within 10 minutes that Graham knew what he was talking about and it was a breath of fresh air. He identified quite a few observations and conditions and provided guidance on how to rectify or minimise them. I've had numerous physio appointments in my past in relation to hip/back/knee pain and not a single one identified the conditions Graham did. 5 stars and i'd highly recommend.
