Good hotel. I stayed here for a night before travelling with siesta holidays to Spain. Staff friendly and nice. Food is good.

Bunch of uneducated cleaners…..Service deserves zero stars….i’m on a business trip the next day morning I had some work I was expected to be arrived at noon as it’s checkout time but my plan changed I want to extend my stay. As I arrived after 12 pm, I planned to pay for extra hours as they mentioned, but cleaner told my luggage was already packed and kept outside of my room even without my consent. They said they rang me, but I’m in business conference, that doesn’t mean they simply enter my room and take out my luggage without my consent, is it a travelodge company policy to enter my room and take away my luggage out ?? How dare the cleaners enter and even touch my luggage and answering impolitely. I’ll take it to travelodge, if incase anything missed or lost who is responsible such a filthy uneducated cleaners and even putting my toothbrush with pair of shoes in the same bag, disgusting idiots!

Basically this place is as barebones as it gets and this causes ‘social issues’. I was kept awake till 2:30am by an extended family ( with kids ) having a drunken brawl / argument on a Saturday night. Total Council Housed and violent place.No security / No Police - nothing.

The Travelodge Middlesbrough is a great place to stay at an affordable rate.The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is very friendly and have someone stationed 24/7 at the front desk for support.It's located in the city centre so it's close to most of the shops and services that you might need.The breakfast was a bit limited with not much alternative options but it was ok for the price.One improvement to the rooms that I can think of is more storage space. The rooms are spacious but have limited surfaces and I had to leave some clothes on the floor.The major deal-breaker for me is the lack of free WiFi for the whole duration of the stay. You can get 30 min of free WiFi and then you have to pay for more. Even when you pay for a 24hr connection , all I got was around 10 Mbps. Most hotels now have permanent free WiFi with higher Mbps. I don't mind paying for a faster connection but not having a free basic connection in a hotel in 2023 is just off-putting.

Nicky was fantastic, made sure we were looked after. Sam also couldn't do enough to help you. The whole staff were also fantastic The room was lovely. Couldn't ask for anymore. Overall fantastic value.

Customer service was very nice from the staff. Made my weeks stay comfortable. Definitely booking again once I’m in Middlesbrough for work trip . Jacqui the hotel manager was very helpful.

Want to thank the Morning / Afternoon staff for all their help … was a bit scared regarding parking . But was assured as they do now have cctv covering some of the parking allocations for the travel lodge and a guard. Stayed 2 nights , only bad thing was no draft at the bar … other than that spot on … thanks ladies . You all doing a great job .
