Visited Harpers Opticians today and Laurie carried out the most thorough eye test I have ever experienced, I came away with complete peace of mind. Harpers arranged an appointment for me at short notice as I was concerned about a problem with one of my eyes. Thank You to all the staff at Harpers you are providing exceptional service for local people.

First class in everything that goes on inside the doors of this Opticians, staff and owner , are a credit to the business of eye care, would give 10/10 and 10 Stars if possible. Fantastic.

-Argued with me that an appointment wasn’t essential despite an NHS consultant instructing me to specifically go to an opticians.-Instead tried to point me to go to old opticians in Edinburgh in the height of lockdown.-Dismissive of my needs and did not care to listen to my circumstances. Deemed that I didn’t deserve an appointment against a consultant who has many years of experience. Claimed my needs weren’t ‘essential’ despite being a recently diagnosed diagnosed diabetic who needed a check up.-Implied that I did not need an appointment based on having had one in March, but based on recent health conditions I NEEDED one. Didn’t seem to understand that I did not have the diagnoses in March that I have now.- I felt discriminated against because of my accent because I called another opticians and they made appointment for me within minutes and no arguments.-I don’t recommend this place place at all, very bad experience trying to book with them, more stress and hassle than needed. Made to feel unimportant.
