We actually can’t thank Andrew Smith and the staff enough for not only the care and attention given to our beloved family member (Frank Burgess) but also the compassion given to us. From start to finish everything was thought of with absolutely no pressure to have certain things, it was tailored to our specifications. Some very lovely touches, taking us to see the grave beforehand, involving us in everything, someone always available to answer our questions, sherry for those who came from the house, a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my Mum after the funeral and some keepsakes for the family. Nothing was too much trouble all of us involved in the arrangements were listened to and felt included. Thank you especially to Andrew, Angela and the drivers although we are aware there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes.

Andrew and his team took excellent care of my beloved husband, at what was the most awful time they made our family welcome to visit at anytime and we did almost daily. Julie Ann in particular was always on hand to answer any questions and was always so kind and gentle with me when I went to see my husband in the chapel of rest. The execution and planning of my husbands celebration of life by Andrew’s was exceptional, they managed to arrange something extremely unusual and large scale that perfectly befitted my wonderful husband. Nothing was too much trouble, I would recommend them to anyone

I work with Andrew Smith, and his excellent, professional funeral directors Richard C and Richard M and the extended team in Macclesfield. The whole team care for the family with the utmost care, courtesy and respect. It is a privilege to work alongside such an empathetic team, where the client's wishes are at the heart of what they do and never too much trouble. The individualised attention to detail in arranging, guiding and supporting families, at one of the saddest times of their lives, is exemplary. I have no hesitation in highly recommending them and would gladly engage them for a family funeral of my own.

I would highly recommend Andrew and his team for managing what can often be a difficult and emotional last goodbye to a loved one. The small touches and the overall organisation were first class. Even the Manchester traffic did not spoil the day!

We were desperately looking,very last minute, for a bench plaque for my mom. We were going to a big family party and the last one had been with our mom,grandma sister and beloved friend of everyone. Being 89 she spent most of it sat on the garden bench and that’s where we all remember her at our last family get together in Surrey. We only had hours before we were due to leave and unable to find anywhere that sold them , my daughter called Andrew Smiths hoping we could buy a plaque. Within minutes the wonderful lady called us back to tell us before they closed that evening, not only the plaque engraved with our own words but everything we needed was waiting for us. I cannot express the absolute gratitude and respect we have for what they did. They would accept no payment and touched all our hearts. We will never forget what they did for us. It meant the world to our wholeFamily. My mom passed not lond ago and lived in Birmingham so we had no connection to this funeral company. They were just happy to help. If that’s what they do then I can imagine how wonderful and caring they would be doing a funeral. I recommend them with my whole heart. Thank you all at Andrew Smiths. A wonderful gesture x

I cannot thank all the staff for the amazing care and compassion they showed to myself and my family following the sudden death of my brother.Every person showed such professionalism, empathy and understanding along with a sense of humour which was greatly needed at times.You gave my brother the most perfect day and I can't thank you enough for that.Everything was beautiful, the horse and carriage, the coffin, flowers, the attention to detail.You made the decisions and arrangements so easy for us and took any problems out of our hands.i would not hesitate to use your service again or recommend you to other friends and family.You definitely go above and beyond for your clients.Thank you so much.

From the day of my brothers passing Andrew was in total control it was just what we needed in the days ahead. His staff were excellent communicaters and were always at the end of the phone should we need anything explaining. The day of the funeral was superbly well organised and passed as a great tribute to my brother I couldn't praise Andrew and his staff highly enough
